House vandalized -- Window Broken
On Monday, June 20th, shortly after 10 pm, a window in a house on Bent Horn was broken. The investigating officer suspected valdalism, rather than an attempt at entry. His comment was, "Some people just like to hear glass breaking!"
If anyone saw any suspicious activity in that area that evening, or if you see other non-emergency suspicious activity, you are urged to contact the Plano police at 972-424-5678 and your street Crime Watch street captain, so they can get the word out.
Neighborhood Home Featured on HGTV Makeover Show
The July 5th episode of Mission Organization on HGTV will feature the home of Jan and Terry Thompson who live in our neighborhood.
The show was taped in January 2005 by organizational expert Tonia Tomlin, and will be showed that evening at 8:30 pm.Russell Creek YMCA
Construction has begun on the Plano YMCA Russell Creek building. From our neighborhood it is located just west of Independence Pkwy on McDermott Drive.
The facility will be a 30,000 square-foot building featuring a large fitness area, gym, wellness center, aerobics rooms, kid's outdoor water feature, and classrooms. The Russell Creek YMCA will also incorporate the multi-use city park with its walking trails and sports fields.
The building is on the fast track to completion with an anticipated opening at the end of 2005.
