To whom it may concern: This is a letter of recommendation for Dan Walker I have known and worked with Dan for the last two years, while we were
both at BIG IDEA PRODUCTIONS in My work at previous feature length animation movie studios over the last decade ( head of 3D CGI at DISNEY, artistic liaison and digital supervisor at DREAMWORKS, VP of production at BIG IDEA ) has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of people in the animation industry. I count Dan among those that brought to the work that rare combination of Production Software Support and technical direction on JONAH ( the movie ) and 3 direct to video productions from the Concept stages through to the Lighting stages. On JONAH, Dan's TD-problem-solving workload was lessened during the lighting stages by adding more people, Dan immediately took on finding and testing compositing systems for the animation studio. Dan's self-motivation and thoroughness in this area were a welcome and much needed contribution. Dan not only supported and helped the animation studio in the ways described above, but was also responsible for our high resolution 3d print designers (3Design), keeping them up and running on their isolated 3D CG pipeline. Dan Walker's constant proactive attitude and performance would be a welcome addition to any 3D CG work environment. While showing his colleagues personal respect, he enkindles enthusiasm and cooperation for the work to be done. |
