| Two Delaware State University students, one being Alpha Chi member Crystal Jackson, recently competed against about 1,000 students in a national research competition and were named among the top 10 winners.
Ms. Jackson, a senior dietetics major, received an oral and poster presentation award at the 2003 annual biomedical research conference recently held in san Diego, ca. She also received the conference�s 2003 social and behavioral sciences award for her research presentation on the perception of body image by African American and Caucasian women. She did the research while completing an internship at the University of North Carolina (Chapel hill). -Excerpts of this article were taken from an article in the December 2003, DSU Update. |
| The Delaware Alpha Chapter would like to congratulate Sequana Anderson, a Senior Agricultural Business major. At the 2004 Regional Conference she received the Edward Davis Award for outstanding service to this chapter and she also ran for and was elected to the position of Student Representative of the region. For the next two years she will represent all of the students from the sixty schools in Region VI at national meetings by holding a seat on the honor society�s National Council. She will be flying to St. Louis at the end of April for the first set of meetings. |
