| I consider this the best MP3 and Video Download software since Napster. You have more control over all aspects of filesharing right down to the amount of Bandwidth. You can download all types of files, including PDF, EXE, DOC....... Or you can prohibit people from downloading them. You control everything :) I also prefer it to Morpheus and only use Morpheus when I can't find something on BearShare... |
| A pretty basic system. The User has little control over anything but the files that are shared.... When you get to the CNet site, just scroll down to the most popular downloads, Morpheus is at the top of the list... Just click on it and follow the Yellow Brick Road... |

| If you are not familiar with the Mandelbrot Set, don't think you are unintelligent. You are only uninformed. The Mandelbrot Set was created by a genius Mathematician named Mandelbrot, of course. His mathematical set, when programmed into a computer generates a very pretty design. Woe! Isn't that interesting... On closer examination you will find Yourself looking into "Infinity" like looking into mirrors... This site has a small program that generates the results of the Mandelbrot Set... and when run, over the course of a couple of days it will expand to a size greater than the known Universe... Yes, you read it right... Download it, run the program and watch with amazment... |

| Let's get a little smart about Norton and other Anti-Virus software... Those and all anti-virus software is always in catchup mode with the writers of new viruses. They utilize special algorythms which are intended to check for typical similarities between families of viruses, but when a NEW virus comes out no Anti-virus software can save anyone, including companies like Microsoft. In the end... You are your own first line of defence so, don't be lulled into thinking that because you have a Virus Scanner like Norton, will be able to save you. Here's a few tips... 1) Watch for EXE files being sent to you anonomously or from a party that you do not know. Often, an Executable file will contain a virus or Trojan. 2) Beware of files that have 2 estensions... For instance.... Right now there is a very destructive virus going around that will destroy all of the JPG (photos) on your computer. It comes attached to a Photo (PIC) and is usually attached to a JPG file... You can recognize this and other similar Trojans by the 2 file extentions that it carries... It will look something like this... yourphoto.jpg.vbs The VBS extension following the JPG extention is a sure indicator of a Trojan attached to a file. It is very unusual for a file to have two extensions, so beware. BTW, That is the actual file extention of the VBS virus... Go to Symantec's Web Site (Norton) to check on whether or not the Extension that you are looking at maybe a virus. Just enter VBS in the search engine and read the results. The VBS virus is a Family of destructive Worm viruses... Always check before you click on a file with two (2) extentions... .......And remember, a Firewall is NOT Anti-virus protection... They are two totally different things... and do two totally different jobs... |

| This is an okay system for Video Chat... Has a lot of chatrooms but prepmanently USA. It has Canadian chatrooms but not many. |
