Enlightenment
A1.  The dictionary definition for enlightenment is quite different from the state of being enlightened, in Buddhist terms.

In simple terms the state of being enlightened is where one becomes one with the universe. It is a state of mind whereby one understands the universe and their part in it. Where they came from and where they're going. I cannot describe enlightenment for another person but only for myself as it is different for every person. However, there are notable and similar characteristics that seem common to all people.

The fundamental state that one must achieve is to stop one's mind from thinking. Any thought at all will prevent a person from crossing into the void, where enlightenment exists... One's own thoughts are the barrier to enlightenment... and the harder one tries to achieve enlightenment, the stronger the wall becomes... The secret to achieving enlightenment is found in "Yin Yang", the Chinese words for "Hard Soft"
...A person cannot achieve enlightenment by trying because the act requires that one concentrate on something and that in itself will prevent one from achieving the state. One must simply sit quietly and remove all thought... When one takes the soft approach it is merely a matter of "doing" but, one will not know they are there, until they are there. Once a person has reached enlightenment, they will know that they have been there and will feel absolutely stupid for not seeing how utterly simple it was to achieve...

The impervious wall of enlightenment will sit before you and as hard as you try to go through it, the more solid, it becomes. One must make the wall his/her friend and love the wall and join with the wall. Then one may pass through the wall. The softer one approaches the wall, the softer it becomes... Yin Yang...
