~A week later~ "Emily, phone" My mom called from the living room "I got it" I called back as I ran to my room to pick up. "Hello?" I said out of breathe. No one answered "Hello" I said again, confused. "Hey Emily" I heard Gregs voice on the other end. I was surprised that he called that I couldn't say anything. "Are you there?" He asked softly. I don't know why, but it sounded like he was sad "Umm yeah, umm how are you?" I asked still not fully beliving that he called "I'm good, how are you?" He asked concerned. "Yeah I'm good. Not to sound rude or anything, but how'd you get my number?" I asked "Chris gave it to me" He replied truthfully. "Thank you for the gift and the great song" I said after a moment of silence "Your welcome, as for the gift it was just something to remember me by" He replied "I'll never forget you" I said and got quiet. "Don't be sad, the reason I called was cause I was wondering if you would come to our concert this thursday, its in Saugus." He asked hopefuly "Sure, when are you guys coming?" I asked "Well, we're comming Wednesday night. Brian and Louie were wondering, if it wasn't too much trouble that is, if we could stay at your house till were there?" He asked sounding really uncomfortable "Yeah don't worry about it. You guys can stay as long as you need" I replied. As weird as it sounds somehow I could tell that he was smiling at that moment. "Is it ok with your mom?" He asked "Yeah, she was gonna call your mom and have you guys over before school started anyway. And she wants to see Frankie" I said "Didn't sound too happy there about the last statement, you still mad at him?" He asked "Yup, but I can't wait to see you guys. How are your sisters?" I asked. When I met them we hung out that night and the next day. They were super nice and fun to hang out with "They'r fine, they keep asking about you and wondering if your gonna come and see them soon. Something about shopping and movies" He said confused. I laughed, because before we left we made plans that next time I was in town we would go to the movies and shopping, and scope for guys. "I gotta go considering your gonna be here in two days.I'll talk to you later?" I asked "Defenitly. Bye" He replied. I said bye and we hung up at the same time. I walked downstairs to find my mom, but she wasn't in her office. "Mom?" I called out. She was here 10 minutes ago, I wonder where she went. I thought to my self. I walked in the kitchen and found a note. Emily, I just talked to Mrs.Raposo. The guys have a concert here on Thursday, so I went shopping for food. I hope you don't mind and I'm pretty sure one of the guys already called about it.. If you need anything call me on my cell. Love, Mom. I threw the note away and called Jessica. After about the third ring she picked up. "Hello?" She answered "Hey Jess it's me" I said smiling "Hey girly, sup?" She asked and munched on something. Everytime I call shes eating something. "You eating again?" I asked laughing "Yup" Was all she said before I heard a 'crunch' "Anyway, guess what?" I asked "Ummm Britney and Justin split up?" She asked and cracked up. Before when we just found out that those two were going out, we always thought that they wouldn't last. Now, we want them to finaly tie the knot and get married. Strange, I know. "Nope" I said smiling "Brad Pitt's at your house?" She asked hopefully "I wish, but no" I said "Then I dunno, what?" she asked with eagerness "Oh who's your fave group?" I asked "Dream Street of course" She said like I was crazy for asking "And what would you do if I said that they were comming over my house in two days, we're invited to their concert on Thursday and theyr gonna stay at my house for a couple of days?" I asked. She wasn't one of those people to freak out cause she already met them the last time they were over, but she was still excited. And the scream that she let out after I told her, told me I was right. "I would say I'm sleeping over your house for a couple of days" She replied. We both laughed cause we sounded like teeny boppers. (No offense to anyone or anything). "Yeah Greg called and asked me if it was ok" I told her "Ooh lover boy called, so you up in cloud 9?" She asked. I could tell that she was smiling. "Pssh, girl I'm in Greg-oh-so-fine Land" I replied sarcasticly. "Even better! No seriously, you think you guys gonna hook up while he's here?" She asked getting serious. "I dunno. I'm not sure if he's talking to Frankie,or if he wants to go out" I said "I'm pretty sure he wants to go out with you just cause of the bracelet he gave you and the song. As for if theyr talking? I have no clue" She said. "Yeah. He said that the bracelet was something to remember him by" I said. "Like you would forget him. Also, theyr on TV way too many times for you to forget how they look" She replied laughing. "True. Hey I gotta go. Mom just came back. When are you comming to start the long sleep over?" I asked stretching the word long. "Tomorrow if you don't mind." She said "Nope, so I guess I'll see you tomorrow" I replied as my mom walked in the kitchen and I helped her with a bag of groceries. "Yup. Later Lover girl" She said laughing. Was it just me or was she laughing a lot today? I dunno. "Haha, later" I said and hung up. "Hey honey who was that?" Mom asked as she put some of the groceries in the fridge "Oh that was Jess. She's sleeping over for a couple of days" I said and smiled "Would it happen to be the same time as the guys?" My mom asked. She knew that Jess was a fan. "Yup. That's ok, right?" I asked just making sure. "Yeah theres more than enough room" She said as I handed her the carrot sticks. "Which one of the guys called you?" She asked refering to who told me that they were staying at our house. "Greg" I answered truthfuly "He gave you that bracelet, didn't he?" She asked taking my wrist in her hand. I just nodded my head. "Do you like him?" She asked again. She was cool about me dating, just as long as I was responisble. I could talk to her about any problems I had, but I still hadn't told her about why I came back from the tour. "Yeah I do" I answered truthfuly "Does he like you?" She asked "I'm pretty sure" I said and laughed "So what's stopping you?" She asked. It was a question by question. That's what I liked she didn't pressure me to answer anything. I just shook my head. "What happened on tour?" She asked looking at me sencirely. "The truth?" I asked. She just nodded her head "Ok me and Frankie had a couple of stupid arguments but we usualy just laughed it off. Then the night before I called you to tell you that I was comming back, me and Greg fell asleep in the back room. Don't worry nothing happened. Frankie saw us and got mad. Before any of this happened he told all the guys that they can't date me. Anyway, after he saw us he sorta yelled at me, about me and Greg, and I ran off. Greg came out and him and Frankie got into an argument, which lead to a fist fight. After I saw Greg with a black eyes and a cute lip, I went up to Frankie and yelled at him. So I told him that since he wanted me gone so bad, that I was leaving. The next day I left without saying bye to Greg, or talking to Frankie." I retold the whole story. "So the reason you two are not going out was because of Frankie?" She asked. "Yeah that's about it" I said shaking my head. "Listen, you can go out with him if you want. I'll talk to Frankie about it." She said as she walked over to the cabinets to put away some more stuff. I went up to my room and watched some TV. I was switching from channel to channel, but stopped when I saw Chris's face on Fox Family. It was an interview. |
