"Mom, I'm home" I called as I entered the house. No answer. I walked into the kitchen, and saw a note on the table. Jess, I went out to explore the city with our next door neighbor. I'll be back by 4 at the latest and we can talk. If you need anything call me. I left you some money in case you want to order a pizza.. Love, Mom I threw the note in the trash, took some juice and went up to my room. I was half way up the stairs, when I heard a car door close. Thinking it was my Mom, I looked out the window, and to my surprise it was Greg. Three girls pilled out, who I guess were his sisters and they headed towards their door. One of them dropped a notebook, and as she went to pick it up she saw me looking through the window and waved. I waved back and realized that the rest of them had seen me so I motioned for them to come over. I walked back down the stairs, and opened the door. The 3 girls, along with Greg were standing in front of me, and smiling. "Hey Greg, you live next door?" I said asking him "Yeah, aren't you lucky?" He joked "Oh yeah the luckiest girl in the world. Now who are these girls?" I asked looking at the adorable little girls. One of them was about 13/14, if I had to guess, she was really pretty, as well as the other two. "These are my sisters Amanda, Nicole, and Daniella" He said as he pointed to each girl. "Hey nice to meet you, I'm Jessica" I said and hugged each girl. "Are you and Greg going out?" The youngest one, Daniella, asked looking at her big brother "No we just met today in school, I didn't even know you guys lived next door" I replied smiling. I looked at Greg, he mouthed 'sorry', I just nodded my head in acknowledgment (whoa, that's a big word! lol) "You guys wanna come in, or not?" I asked opening the door wider so that they could walk in. "No, we can't, we have to get home. I have something to do with my friends later and they have to do their homework" Greg said with a sorry look "Oh that's ok, I'll talk to you guys later, k?" I said and the three girls nodded. "Sure, if I don't talk to you today, I'll see you tomorrow." Greg said with a questionable look. "Sure, no prob. Bye guys, it was nice meeting you" I replied and they walked back to their house. I walked back in, I walked half way up the stairs and the phone ring. So I ran up the stairs, to my room, and picked it up after the 5th ring. "Hello" "Hey honey" I heard my Mom on the other end "Oh hey Mom, how's the tour going?" I asked while looking around my room "Oh it's going fine, but were on the other side of the city and there's traffic so we won't be back anytime soon" I heard her say "Oh I met the next door neighbors, their son goes to school with me. Your with their mom right?" I asked already knowing the answer "Yes, that's right. It's nice that you already met them, because Mrs.Raposo was wondering if you could baby-sit the girls, till she comes home?" She asked "Sure why not, but why can't Greg take care of them?" I asked "Oh, he's doing something tonight and he can't cancel. Mrs.Raposo says thank you and that she'll pay you for taking care of them" I heard her say "No that's fine, she doesn't need to pay me." I said thinking back on the three girls "I know. Maryanne already called the kids, all you gotta do is either go over there, or bring them home and take care of them till we get back" "Ok, I'll go right now. Bye Mom, love ya" I said and heard a love ya too, before I hung up. I took my book bag and headed out the door. |
