Dallas Stars Rule
Iceburgh sinks Titanic Homestand-
Tuesday's game with the gazing Dallas Stars @ Pittsburgh, goaltender Jean-Sebastien Aubin knew this was his night and he would be the first star of the game for the Pens.
Mighty Aubin has four victories in 17 appearances this season.

Aubin, who turned away 38 shots in a 7-4 win over the New York Rangers on Sunday, broke through Joe Daley's 35-year-old Pittsburgh record for saves in a shutout. Aubin blocked 20 shots in the third period to record his sixth career shutout and his first since Oct. 12, 2002.

Aubin was so sharp, he stopped Mike Modano's shot from the right circle in the second and slashed away two power plays in the third period. He made a perfect glove save on Richard Matvichuk's slap shot from the left circle and helped the NHL's worst penalty killing team stop all six Dallas Star power plays.

Matt Bradley also put one up on the Board for the Penguins, which owns the NHL's worst record, but 5-2-1 in its last eight games. The Penguins have won three straight games for the first time since Jan. 13-17, 2003.

Dallas is 8-0-1 in its nine previous games, missed a big chance to move up into a first-place tie in the Pacific Division with the San Jose Sharks, which lost to Minnesota later on Tuesday by a 4-3 score. Dallas has lost three of four road games.

Former Dallas Star Jon Sim who scored his seventh goal and first with the Pittsburgh Penguins into the 6:03 mark, picking up a rebound from behind the net and shot it past goaltender Marty Turco, it slipped through the right side of the net.

Aubin pulled during a delayed double minor to Stars #44 Jason Arnott, Bradley received a pass from Rico Fata and fired a shot from the right circle past Marty Turco for a 2-0 lead for the Penguins at 9:55 mark of the second .

Pittsburgh went on top of Dallas even more when Morozov took a pass from Kraft and made it 3-0.

Later in the third period Eastwood picked up a pass from Bradley and popped another one into the net to make it a 4-0 Penguins Lead.

Dallas coach Dave Tippett was frustrated but had confidence in his team, but the Stars could not come back from a 4-0 slump.

San Jose lost to the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday, Zbynek Michalek and Alexandre Daigle posted goals, both 1:35 apart in the second, and the Wild finaly ended a seven-game winless streak with a 4-3 victory Tuesday night.

B eing outshot 14-2 in the final period, the Minnesota Wild still hung on for the win.

Dallas moves on to their 2nd road trip game and will go to Philadelphia on Thursday.

The Flyers held a 3-1 victory over the 2003 Stanley Cup Champs, the New Jersey Devils.

John LeClair registerd a goal and two assists and the Flyers coverd up the Devils for two periods in a 3-1 win Tuesday.

The Flyers will get another chance to open up a bigger lead when they face the Devils in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Devils coach Pat Burns said that this loss put a serious dent in the New Jersey Devils chances to win the division

LeClair set up goals by Recchi and Kim Johnsson, in a span of 2:28 building the first and second periods up for the Flyers. The Flyers broke a five-game winless (0-3-1-1) streak on the road.
