Mighty Ducks 2, Canucks 1
The month of February has been anything but kind to the Vancouver Canucks. After back-to-back losses against Calgary and Atlanta following the All-Star break, the Canucks continued their slide Saturday night with a 2-1 loss at the hands of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. The loss was not only their third straight, but also their fifth in the last six games, a slump dating back to Groundhog Day, when the New York Rangers handed them a one-goal loss.
If there's any good news to take away from Vancouver's disappointing results as of late, it's the fact that four of those five losses have been one-goal games. Indeed, that was the case Saturday, as the Canucks stayed very much in the game all the way through, but simply could not muster enough offence to keep up with the surging Mighty Ducks. Full Story...
