Second Round |33rd overall| Loui Eriksson| LW| A player that has great skill and is very offensive-minded. Has shown excellent progress in his game since being drafted a year ago.
2002 NHL ENTRY DRAFT
Second Round (42nd overall) | Marius Holtet | C | The Dallas Stars look to bring him to North America to help with his development. He should be playing in the American Hockey League next season.
Second Round (43rd overall) | Trevor Daley | D | His strength in his game and is his skating and how well he moves with the puck are excellent.
2001 NHL ENTRY DRAFT

First Round (26th overall) | Jason Bacashihua | G | A great young skilled netminder, who will compete for the backup job to Marty Turco next season.
Third Round (70th overall) | Yared Hagos | C | He is to be considered to be one of the Stars' top prospects, the organization will keep a close eye on him next season.

Fifth Round (161st overall) | Mike Smith | G | Another netminder that is considered one of the best athletes in the organization right now. Has a great glove hand and will also compete to be Turco's backup next season.

2000 NHL ENTRY DRAFT
First Round (26th overall) | Jason Bacashihua | G | A great young skilled netminder, who will compete for the backup job to Marty Turco next season.
Second Round (60th overall) | Dan Ellis | G | He Impressed a flock of people when he took Boise of the East Coast Hockey League on his back and won a championship last year. Won his first game as a Dallas Star against the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3.
Seventh Round (224th overall) | Antti Miettinen | C | A skilled forward who will have his chance next season to show his 'stuff'
1999 NHL ENTRY DRAFT
Third Round (96th overall) | Mathias Tjarnqvist | LW | A veteran of the Swedish National Team, had one goal with the Stars this season.
1998 NHL ENTRY DRAFT
Second Round (39th overall)| John Erskine | D | He will have the chance next season to step up and become a physical leader on defense which the Stars have needed greatly.
1997 NHL ENTRY DRAFT
First Round (25th overall) | Brenden Morrow | LW | One of the greatest picks the have made was picking this guy, was arguably the MVP of the Stars last season and looks to develop even more as a leader for this team.
