7       Under “Save as type:” select “Web Page, HTML only”.

7       Select which folder you would like to save the file into and click the “Save” button.

7       Open Microsoft Excel.

7       Click “File” menu then “Open”.

7       Select folder that you stored the file in, select file and click “Open” button.

Most collectors sort by Country - State – City. Here are the steps to perform this operation:

Ø      Click on the “Data” menu then “Sort”.

Ø      Under “Sort by” select Country.

Ø      Under “Then by” select State.

Ø      Under the 2nd “Then by” select City.

Ø      Click the “OK” button. It might take a while to resort the large amount of data.

Here are some very useful tips for filtering out unwanted information to make it quicker to go through the list:

v     Say the already went through my list was June 1, 2006 and you don’t want to go through the whole thing again. You can filter out anything that was added since then by clicking on the upper left hand corner of the worksheet between the “A” and the “1”. This selects the entire worksheet. Next, under the “Data” menu click “Filter” then “AutoFilter”. This will generate some very useful drop down arrows.

v     On the “Entry/update” column, you can now click on the drop down arrow and select “(Custom...)”.

v     In the dialog box click on the upper left drop down arrow and select “is greater than”.

v     Under the next drop down arrow to the right either select a date on type one in  (for example: June 1, 2006).

v     Click the “OK” button. You are now in filter mode and the list is much smaller than it used to be, making it much easier to get through.

v     If you apply another filter using another column you will be apply it to only what you have left. In order to get back to the original list you have to do one of the following. Under the “Data” menu click “Filter” then “Show All” or click all the drop down arrows on each column you previously filtered and select “(All)” at the very top.

v     You can mess around with these filters to display specific countries by selecting them from the list or eliminate specific states by selecting “(Custom...)” and then scrolling down under the same drop down area to “does not contain” and selecting or typing in the state you desire under the next drop down arrow to the right.
