The Druid is like the Sorceress and Necromancer combined in a way. He gets spells and some are alot like the sorceress, and summons creatures. And his Cyclone Armor is the elemental version of Bone Armor. Of course he isn't compleatly like them. He can't curse, and his spells are very limited compared to the Sorc. But the Druid can shapeshift witch is very powerful.
Elemental Skills
The Elemental skill tree is magic. It has Wind (plain magic damage), fire, and cold. It has some very powerful spells like Cyclone Armor witch obsorbs elemental damage, Artic Blast witch is an ice inferno, and the lvl 30 spells Armageddon and Hurricane. Armageddon does more damage but Hurricane gets by all resistances it's wind. The problem is you can't use Elemental skills in werewolf/bear form.
Shape Shifting
In eyes of many people this is the coolest skill tree for the Druid. The Druid is the only character that can change his form. The biggest problem is, like I already said, is that Elemental skills can't be used in animal form. It sucks, yes, but just think: A werebear casting Armageddon is just weird. And too powerful. I personally like Werewolf better. I think that attacking 10 times faster than the Werebear and with 99% accuracy is better than the damage and armor. Also, the Werebear doesn't seem to hit that well, either. But I can't diss the Werebear. Many, many people online use Werebears and they can't all be wrong. Also The Werewolf has Fury, witch attacks up to 5 times. This can do all attacks to one emimy, and that's a HUGE amount of damage. Or attack 5 emimies if they are preasent. And it increases attack damade and rating per skill point. Also Lycanthrogy is a must.
Summoning
Ah, minions. Having an army can be great fun. Most chars can get minions, but none like the Druid or Necro. The Druid's pets are split into one of 3 groups. There are recovery: Carion Vine that eats corpes to give your Druid helth and Solar Creep that eats corpes for mana. You may only have 1 vine at a time. There is one more vine: Poison Creep. It poisons enimies, but is week. So the real choise is mana or health. So, do you use Elemental skills and need mana or Shape Shifting and are always useing health potions. The spirits are the 2nd group. They add life or attack rating or reflects damage. And the large 3rd group is..... (kick in the Jeopardy music)...... ATTACKING!!! You should put points into both the wolves and Grizzly, for they give passive bonuses to each other. I like using Dire Wolves and a Grizzly, but I still put points into Spirit Wolves for 2 reasons: 1.) So I have 5 really nice wolves to get me through the 1st 2 acts. 2.) the passive bonuses are going to be needed anyway for Dire Wolevs and my Grizzly.
Attribute Disstribution
For STG, DEX, and ERG it's really if you are Werewolf, you need STG for weapons and Werewolf increases attack rating anyway, Werebear, It adds damage so you need DEX to hit better, Or Elemental witch needs ERG for mana to cast spells.
Now VIT is vital (ha ha ha ha: get it vitality is vital) for all Druid styles.
ERG is also needed if you use pets.
Equipment
Weapon: The Druid for some odd unknown reason has a fast attack speed when using a slow maul. So the best thing to do do is use one. And, in Werewolf/bear, I'm not sure if you can block (if you know please tell me!!!).

Armor: A wolf head helm is the Druid's uniqe item so you're gonna want one. They punp up your Druid's skills, so they are well worth the smaller amount of armor they give. I don't have any certain style of armor to wear or gloves or boots. Just good armor rating to make up for the loss with the helm.

Rings & Ammy: If you can get an ammy that gives skill points or magic item find. Same with rings.
Custom Character Design
This character design is the one I'm using for my druid. My Druid, Daren, doesn't use any Elemental skills at all. This gives points to Summoning and Werewolf. For Summoning I use (pretty much all the ones I said in the Summoning section above) Direwolves, Grizzly, the life sucking vine, and the Spirit of Barbs. I won't put more than one point into any other Summoning skill, other than Spirit Wolf because it REALLY helps untill lvl 18 Dire Wolf, and it adds a passive bonus to it, Dires, and the Grizzly. This passive bonus is badly wanted, if not needed, to make the others fighting fit. And I like Werewolf as I told you above in Shape Shifting. Daren has one point in werebear and one in all skills used in animal form accept Fury. Fury is the skill is use in Wolf form so I didn't want to waste points on the others. As always with Shape Shifting I have loads in Lycanthropy. Note: I just learned how to spell Lycanthropy correctly!!! YAY!!! Anyhoo.... I use all the recomended items in the Equipment section, generaly. And my stats are quit even other than DEX witch is low because, I like i said above, Werewolf doen't need it because, he adds everthing DEX adds from his bonuses. And more. So, this is it: my legendary (LOL! How I wish!) Druid design. I like it, and Daren likes it because he kicks deamons all the time. Have fun!!
