11. Reach Out and Touch Someone (JC)

Snake crashes on the planet the planet where he finds an alien hostage/smuggling operation involving Drolians and Ulru-Ujurrians, where the Drolians are using tortured Ulru-Ujurrians to impress suicidal onto hypnotic and illegal Janus Crystals.

Snake manages to break the illegal ring, but is then caught by NS 314. He is then informed by NIS Director Walter Keel that he has already been sentenced for his crime, but that he can avert the death penalty by accepting a doubling of his duty tour time. He is then told that any other crime will be punished by death on the authority f the captain.

Meanwhile, Thomas Hoy meets his brother Rick who transferred aboard NS 314.

12. A Snake in Paradise (JH, BL)

Beth and Warmonger announce their wedding, which will be held on Nexus. Arton accuses of negligence and insubordination, charges which are true, but not proven by Arton.

The marriage is held. Mephistopheles interrupts the ceremony, accusing Beth of being unclean due to the presence of her split personality. Tests reveal nothing.

After the wedding, Mephistopheles and Arton meet secretly, and Arton reveals his secret dissatisfaction with Nexus and the life he is leading. Mephistopheles pretends disinterest in this matter. Arton is unaware that the conversation is being monitored by the NIS.

13. Mirror, Mirror (JH, BL, JC, EQ)

This episode is an adaptation of the Star Trek episode of the same name. The team�s landing party is placed aboard a NS 314 of an alternate universe where Nexus is an autocratic empire bent on galactic domination. The differences between this episode and Star Trek�s were that the Nexus episode actively alternates between both of the universes, and both of the planets are destroyed. Arton�s disaffection with Nexus deepens as he sees that in the alternate universe, he is the total figure of authority aboard his ship.

14. Assault on Ben Vien Hoa (JH, BL)

A Nexus ambassador to a membership applicant is kidnapped by that planet�s radicals who oppose admission into Nexus. The team fights through Vietnam-like conditions to retrieve the ambassador.

15. The Last Ship from Transylvania (JC)

Snake and the Hoy brothers are transferred to NS 115, where they encounter a derelict vessel which is inhabited by vampires who hide a plot to destroy Nexus. Rick Hoy becomes a vampire and a secret agent.

16. Home By the Sea (JH, BL)

Noncorporeal beings strand Arton and Warmonger in their strange abode until Arton offers them a way to live their own lives instead of trapping other life to observe it. This episode was based on the song by Genesis �Home By the Sea�

17. Addiction (JH, BL)

The team intercepts a distress signal which leads them to the scene of a two-ship crash and a mystery. The inhabitants of one ship are dying off and quickly decomposing into a substance that is highly addictive to the inhabitants of the other ship.
