Kreuzberg Football League Icons (v1) by Daniel M. Smith (dsmith4@bayou.uh.edu)

Welcome to my icon set for the Kreuzberg Football League. All of these icons
were drawn by me and me alone, though the original helmet designs were created
by Frank A. Vasko and Robert Courtemanche and are used with permission.

For those of you unfamiliar with the league, here is a little background:

The KFL is a fantasy football league run by Robert Courtemanche. The league
has been playing since 1993 and there are currently 10 teams. If you want to
know more about the league, visit them on the web at:
http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Sideline/6352/ (and tell Robert I said HI!)

Here is a list of the files that you should now have, and a brief description
of each:

kfl.txt - you are reading it.
barons.ico - Birmingham Barons. Shield on a black helmet.
bashers.ico - Portland Bashers. Two lightning bolts.
bombers.ico - Boston Bombers. A bomb with 'BB' on the side.
bulldogs.ico - Boston Bulldogs. A paw print.
cavalier.ico - Charlotte Cavaliers. A sword, whose handle makes a 'C', through
	a 'C'. Clever.
centuria.ico - Oklahoma Centurians. State of Oklahoma with 'OC' over it.
commando.ico - California Commandos. Gun sight with a 'C' added. A rework of
	the Snipers helmet logo.
cougars.ico - Colorado Cougars. A cougar on the prowl.
cougar2.ico - Colorado Cougars. The profile of a cougar head. I don't know
why, but I really like this one.
crunch.ico - Crunch Conference logo.
express.ico - Pittsburgh Express. Word 'EXPRESS' on the move.
flames.ico - Florida Flames. A torch with wings (I think).
gamblers.ico - Las Vegas Gamblers. 'LV' with the four suits in cards. Clever.
havoc.ico - Honolulu Havoc. An 'H' with streaks.
kfl.ico - Logo of the Kreuzberg Football League.
moo.ico - Moo Conference logo.
praetors.ico - Pennsylvania Praetors. The scales of justice. In case you are
wondering, a Praetor is a Roman magistrate.
rangers.ico - San Antonio Rangers. The state of Texas (yea!).
snipers.ico - San Francisco Snipers. A gun sight. I like this one as well.
stars.ico - Houston Stars. Stars.
stars2.ico - San Antonio Stars. Different colored stars.
vipers.ico - Virginia Vipers. Word 'VIPERS' with a snake for the 'I'.
warriors.ico - Washington Warriors. A 'W'. Just a 'W'.

And now a quick note on how these icons were created. They were drawn with
Windows Paintbrush and converted into icons using The Icon Librarian. Since
I wanted everyone to be able to use them, I only used 16 colors. This allows
everyone running early versions of Windows to put them on their desktop. This
is why orange helmets appear the way they do. I had to use a mix of red and
yellow. Not the greatest of results, but you get the idea. You are free to
use these icons on your computer, and to share them with friends, all I
ask is that you give me credit for having spent the many hours to create them,
and give credit to the original helmet designers for all of theri work.

If you are wondering about white facemasks and stripes, here is the deal. To
avoid having to come up with background colors for every icon, I've made all
white facemasks and white outer stripes light gray. This allows me to treat
them the same way I treat all other colors. I don't feel it takes too much
away from the helmets, but if you disagree, let me hear from you.

Along with the KFL, I also have icon sets available for the following leagues:

National Football League
American Football League
United States Football League
Canadian Football League
World Football League
World League of American Football
Arena Football League
All-American Football Conference
Professional Spring Football League (conjectural helmets)
Professional Indoor Footbal League
College Divisions
Other Fantasy Leagues
Custom Helmets

Check out my web site at http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Bleachers/4595/
to see which of these are currently available. If you would like to have the
helmets from your fantasy league made into icons please drop me a line. I'm
always looking for new leagues to add to my page.

Also, if you have any requests for any helmets at all to be made into icons,
just let me know and I'll try to put it together for you.

Hope you enjoy my icons, and let me know what you think of them! I love to
get feedback on my work!
