Week 2

Two weeks into the season and we only have two undefeated teams in the league:  the Headbutts and the Flounders. On the dark side, the Glazed Donuts and Geeks on Call are still fighting for their first victory of the season.  Commish’s Corner:  Former Denver kicker Jason Elam nailed a 50 yarder for Atlanta. Guess that thin air in Denver wasn’t everything after all...Did you know that Brett Favre threw his first career 4th down TD pass from 10+ yards? Guess what current player owns the record for that? Josh McCown with three… Here are the highlights from Week 2:

Headbutts 48, Ned the Dog 17:  With the game already won, “Life of” Brian Westbrook scored 18 points on Monday night and Terrell “Kinda Quiet” Owens added another 12 points to run up the score against the Dog Pound. Thanks to the barrage of points scored on Monday night, the Headbutts win their first weekly pot this year.

Hooters 37, Glazed Donuts 34: Down 37-22 going into Monday night, Tony “The Homo” Romo scored 12 points, but L.J. “Cool” Smith got a goose egg and the Hooters held on for their first victory of the year. The Donuts were led by Anquan “Texas Hold em” Boldin with 18 points, while Stephan “The Big” Gostkowski led the Knockers with 13 points. The Donuts also left 46 points on the bench.

Hoochie Mommy  32, Geeks on Call 27:  Down 32-21 going into Monday night, the Dallas “North 40” Cowboys defense could only manage to get just one defensive TD and the Hoochie’s held on to win their first game of the season. Ryan “Still Kickin” Longwell led the Greeks with 15 points.

Flounders 42, Hell’s Angelas 22: Jay “Razor Sharp” Cutler scored 16 points and Clinton “Funkadelic” Portis added another 12 points as the Flat Fish smothered the Statesman Coach to remain undefeated.  Mason “Bing” Crosby led the Hell’s Bells with 12 points.

Benchwarmers 45, Woglom’s Warriors 30: Down 30-22 going into Monday night, Marion “The Mad “ Barber scored 12 points and Nick “Egg Yolk” Folk added another 11 points to help the Commish whack the Warriors for their first victory of the year.
