Week 14

Congratulations to the Glazed Donuts, Headbutts, and Benchwarmers for clinching the final three playoff spots. More congratulations goes to the Glazed Donuts for capturing the Money Cup ($50). Surprisingly, this is the Donuts first time they have won this honor. The first six spots of next year’s draft have now been resolved, based on order of finish: 1) Woglom’s Warriors, 2) Flounders, 3) Hooters, 4) Hoochie Mommy, 5) Geeks on Call, and 6) Ned the Dog. The final four spots will be determined by order of finish in the play- offs. Commish’s Corner: Four weeks ago, Tatum Bell was selling phones at a kiosk. Today he is starting running back for the Broncos…Don’t look now, but San Francisco has won three of their last four…Here are the highlights from Week 14:

Woglom’s Warriors 53, Headbutts 26: Up 29-26 going into Monday night, DeAngelo ‘Remo” Williams and Antonio “Giant” Bryant both scored 12 points and the Tampa “Grandpa” Bay Defense got shredded and the Warriors shaved the Headbutts. The Warriors swept this year’s series.

Geeks on Call 24, Hooters 20: Ryan “Don’t Dwell” Longwell scored 8 points and the Hooters left Reggie Bush “Beer” out of the starting lineup and the Geeks fondled the Hooters.  After winning seven straight games, the Hooters finished off the season losing their last six games. The twins left a combined 53 points on the bench It is no surprise that the twins split this year’s series.

Flounders 34, Ned the Dog 26: Tied 26-26 going into Monday night, John “Silk & Lacy” Kasay scored eight points and the Fish swam away from the Dogs. “Racin” Jason Hanson had 10 points for Ned in a losing cause. The teams split this year’s series.

Glazed Donuts 38, Hell’s Angelas 27: In a preview of the possible playoff matchup, Phil Rivers scored 12 points to help the Donuts fry the Hell Kitchen. The Donuts go into the playoffs winning six of their last seven games. The teams split this year’s series.

Benchwarmers 58, Hoochie Mommy 18: Peyton “Place” Manning and Brandon “U.S.Marshall had 12 points and Neil “Unreal” Rackers added 10 points as the Bench Jockey’s shunned the Maternal Hoochies. The Commish swept this year’s series. Once in the race for a playoff spot, the Material Girl lost their last three games, scoring only a combined 59 points, while allowing a whopping 146 points.
