Geos ~ The Awakening.

This site is about Geology – the study of rocks. It is aimed at UK Secondary school science - the new, QCA Key Stage 3 syllabus, but would be of use at GCSE - Key Stage 4 - as well.

Its main purpose is to provide photos of the rocks found on this syllabus, but also has very brief – but hopefully useful - information about their characteristics & formation. Further additions will be made soon . . . Note that this site has purposely been kept simple, to cut down on download times when using on a school network
