Indiana Jones had been traveling for a long time now. Every once in a while, he would stop at a settlement for a touch of civilization, but then after a short visit, he would take off again. There was a whole world out there! A world that was just aching to be explored.

For now, he was alone. He missed Phoenix and Sullah, and wished that he was traveling with them again. Indy had heard that she was in Little Egypt, but no one really knew where Sullah had gone, after the Bronze Age camp was destroyed by the vampires!

Indy was torn. He wanted to go to this Little Egypt place, but he also wanted to see if he could find some trace of Sullah. Perhaps she knew where he was! With that thought in mind, he set out in the direction that would lead him to where the beautiful Immortal was now living.

Anubis was home now, and Phoenix had had her baby, so things were settling down to a normal rhythm.  Faia was glad to see Indy, and curious about Sullah.  "He would like it here," she said.

"Yes," Indy agreed. "He would. Now, the trick is to find him! The vamps said they didn't see him around when they wiped out the camp."

"I wouldn't be surprised if he ran like hell," she said pensively.  "He's a survivor."

Indy nodded. "He is. The question is, where? Do you know of any place he could have gone? I don't see him living off the land for very long."

"Maybe he is in Gamilia," said Anubis.  "He is missing his wife, he might have gone there for another."

"Gamilia?" Indy mused. "That could be a possibility! I'll go check him out. If I find him, do you want me to bring him here?"

"If he wants to come," said Phoenix.  "I miss him.  But if he is happy, don't drag him by the hair or anything.  Just come back and tell me he's safe."

"I'll do that," Indy promised. "Hey, would your Anubis guy fry me to a crisp if I gave you a hug?"

Phoenix waved her hand.  "All he can do is bite you," she assured him.

"I'd rather be bit by you," he whispered, giving her a gentle hug. "Take care, Faia. I have missed you." And with that, he turned, picked up his knapsack and left without a backward glance.

Anubis gave a little canine snort and pretended he had not heard that last.  But Lycine ears were sharp, and Phoenix knew he had!

Mounting up on his horse, Indiana headed off in the direction of Gamilia. Hopefully he would find Sullah there!

It was a long trek over hot sands, but he had enough water, and Indiana Jones was as tough as they come! Finally he found the settlement.  Although he had been warned what he would find there, he was still surprised to see so many lovely women!

That settled it. If there were women around, most likely his friend was too! "All right, Sullah. I know you're here now. Come out, come out, where ever you are!" he called out.

When one of the women heard Sullah’s name, she ran into the tent to bring him out. "Indy!  It's you!" he smiled.

Indiana shook his head. "Leave it to you to find paradise! So, how many wives do you have now?"

"Only the one!" he said jovially. And out she came, at least eight months pregnant!

"Good lord!" Indy called out. "You didn't waste any time, my old friend. It looks like you are happy here. Faia told me to tell you that she misses you. She is in Little Egypt, just up the road a piece as they say."

He looked at his wife.  Her name was Fatima. She smiled, knowing what he wanted, and Sullah said, "We will come."

But first, arrangements had to be made! And already the air was beginning to be filled with the odors of a wonderful feast being prepared. After all, a handsome man like Indiana Jones just didn't walk into Gamilia every day! All of the girls wanted to nab him!  He did not exactly mind, either!! But Sullah made it clear in a whispered conversation that if Indy didn't want to be saddled with a wife, not to do anything but look!

Of course, Indiana was not the marrying kind, so he had to look, but not touch. Too much, anyway!

There was quite a bit of entertainment. The girls broke out their finest outfits and belly danced for the newcomer, doing their best to entice him to stay. If he hadn't promised Faia that he would bring Sullah back to her if he could, he would have been sorely tempted! As it was, he turned on the charm, making them all laugh and giggle as they swarmed around him.

Sullah told him, over the music, that he had enjoyed his stay here, but that it would be nice to bring Fatima back with him.  "Faia's had her own baby by now," he reasoned.

Indy nodded. "Nice looking kid, too," he told him, not taking his eyes off the dancers in front of him. He was talking about Faia’s baby, but from the interest he was showing the young woman shimmying in front of him, it was also obvious that he was also talking about her.

"Yes," Sullah smiled, "she is."  Then he chuckled.  "Are you sure you won't be having one for a bride?"

Indy turned and gave Sullah one of his lopsided grins. "Tempting. But no. My feet are still way too itchy to settle down just yet."

"Ach!" said his friend.  Then he got up to dance with his "sisters in law", because Fatima was too pregnant to dance with him.  They all tried to coax Indy into getting up, too!

A few drinks later, he obliged them, making them hopeful that he had decided to stay. But when they woke up the next morning, they found that he was gone, along with Sullah and Fatima!

The trip was easier this time, because he had company.  It was not easy for Fatima, of course, but she bore it well. They didn't rush it, and made sure that she had plenty of water and rested when it was needed. But when they caught sight of the river delta that led into Little Egypt, they all sighed with relief!

"It will be nice to get home again," said Sullah.  Though he had never lived in Little Egypt before, it was so like the real thing he felt like he was going home!

But it wasn't Indiana's home. After making sure Sullah and his wife were settled in, he left once more, this time heading back to Esperanza. He wanted to check up on his father and Marcus and make sure they were doing all right. Of course, he wasn't entirely sure his father would be there!  He might be in Camelot!

As he rode to Esperanza, Indy couldn't help but envy Sullah and Phoenix both. Especially when he got into town and found that his father had indeed gone to Camelot!

"I am sorry," said Marcus Brody.  "But you know your father!  He cannot stay put for anything.  Come in, Indiana, and rest yourself.  Are you staying in town long?"

He nodded wearily. "For a little while at least. I'm getting tired of traveling." That wasn't exactly the truth, but it was close enough.
