Here is my boat.  It is small, but has nice lines.  It was orange when I got it.  I decided to go with a white and red paint scheme and I painted it myself.  It came out pretty good, and the paint has held up great.  It's been painted since 1994.  It is a 1965 model with a 1965 65hp mercury outboard (inline four).
Here is the boat at Lake Kaweah just east of Visalia California.  If you look out at the water, there was some glass just beyond the bouys and we got some nice sking in that day.  The the boat, with such a flat bottom, throws virtually no wake.  It could use a pylon for skiing though.  I will probably sell this boat this spring 2001.  It doesn't really fit my needs, and because of that I don't use it much.  It is in good shape. The hull is sound, the paint is good, and the engine is in good shape.  I had problems with it before that I just couldn't track down.  I got frustrated and took it to two boat shops, neither could find the problem.  So I tore the engine down.  The problem wasnt' in the engine ( it was just a plugged carburator and boy was that ever frustrating, it just didnt' seem like the carburator) but I did find a cracked piston skirt and so I replaced the piston, re-ringed the engine and put in new reed valves while it was apart.  Now it is sound and I would like to upgrade to a more skier oriented boat.  A tournament would be nice, but since i'm a poor young guy, I will have to wait on that.
