Message from Author:
Hi everyone!! Well here is Chapter 2. We really hope you enjoy reading this as much as we did writing this!!!

Rachel yawned and turned to her friend "Well, are you ready Morgan"? "Ya I guess Im as ready as I can be except a little tired," she said with a small smile and also yawning. Morgan had spent the night and they had to get up around 3:30 to get to the airport it was 4:30 and the plane departed at 5:00. "First Class may now board for a non-stop flight to New York City" they soon heard the announcer call. "Well thats us so lets go," said her Mother. "Right, come on girls," agreed her Dad following her mom. The 2 girls got up and handed the lady their tickets, and went through to the gate. A half an hour they were finally taxing out onto the field and soon taking off. Rachel was very used to planes because she had gone almost everywhere, but she wasnt so sure if Morgan was. The flight attendant said that it would be a 3-hour flight to New York, but the girls were prepared. They slept for the first half hour, since they only had about 6 hours to sleep. By 5:36 they were awake and all ready listening to their music even though almost everyone else was still sleeping. Rachel looked through the window and said, "Wow cool view huh Morgan"? "Ya its cool with all the lights and stuff" said Morgan who was more listening to Dream Street then Rachel. Rachel sighed and listened to Someone to hold me tonight while she kept looking out the window. "I guess its no use talking to her. Oh well, I wonder what will happen in New York when we get there" she said. "Ya so do I" agreed Morgan who was now listening to her. "And I wonder what is my mom and dads last B-day present they told me not to open is" Rachel said in wonder while she held the little box in her hands. They listened to their music until breakfast was served at 6:30. "I guess this isnt too bad of food," said Morgan taking a bite of her eggs. "Ya its ok" agreed Rachel who was eating her pancakes. After breakfast was over the 2 bored girls just chatted along the way. Morgan said with a smile "I cant believe we are actually going to New York! Its so exiting. I wonder if well meet Dream Street while were there"? Rachel agreed and exclaimed "Ya I hope really hard that we do. And if we do meet Dream Street, it will be the greatest summer of my- our lives"! They could never stop talking about that, until the plane finally arrived at New York City at 8:30 in the morning. {Note to everyone: Im sorry the flight part may not be the best, but I didnt know what to write and I was so exited on getting to another part} Rachels mom turned to them and asked, "Well how was the flight girls"? "Its ok except the food wasnt the best in the world," said Rachel while she stretched from sitting down so long. "Ya I agree with her," stated Morgan also stretching. "Well lets go get out luggage, then to our car," said her Dad turning to the luggage claim. "Right, lets go ladies," agreed her Mother following her Dad. Rachel and Morgan followed them to where their luggage was soon to come out and waited until 10 minutes later when it finally came out onto the ramp. By the time they got to the rent-a-car place, it was 9:16. "Wow time sure does go fast when youre having fun," said Rachel checking her watch. "It may go fast for you but it feels like its only 8:36 to me because Im so exited," said Morgan looking around at all the cars. "Well lets go I got the keys to our car" said her father who was all ready walking to the parking lot where the cars were. Rachel walked a little faster up to her Mom and asked "Hey Mom, are we going to the hotel"? Her Mom laughed a bit and said, "Yes dear of course we are. Where did you think we would go"? "Nowhere, just wondering" Rachel stated. She stopped for a moment to let Morgan catch up with her, and soon they were in the car they were on their way to the hotel. Her Dad and Mom were whispering something in the front seat quietly so the girls couldnt hear them. Finally her Dad said "Rachel do you have that last birthday present we gave you"? "Ya I do why"? "Well you can open it now" said her Mother smiling. She gave Morgan an odd look, then pulled the small box out of her bag. "Here ya go, Rach," said Morgan giving her the box, anxiously waiting to see whats inside. "OK well, lets see what it is" said Rachel as she started to open the box and pull out the tissue paper. Then, there was something in there that she never would have expected to see. Rachel stared at it with wide-open eyes that were full of surprise. Then Morgan said suddenly "Well, what is it? Tell me, tell me, tell me"! "Its-Its tickets to Dream Streets Concert"!! Morgan stared at her unbelievably "What"?! "Yes thats right," said her Mom. "I saw it on the Internet the other day. There was going to be a concert in New York on Monday (by the way, right now its Saturday) so when I saw it was Dream Street, I knew we should get it" finished her Father with a smile. Rachel looked up with a big smile and exclaimed "Wow! Thanks so much"! They both looked at each other, in a look of strong surprise. First they both had started with a boring, plain summer. Now they were in New York where their favorite band, Dream Street lived. And after an annoying flight with 5 little kids on it, they were going to their concert, alone! I wonder, Rachel thought, could life get any better? She knew Morgan was thinking the same thing. She turned to look out the window, and she saw Morgan do the same. Maybe it could, just maybe, she thought again. Little did the 2 young girls know, that this summer wouldnt be like any other. It would be completely different. As soon as they arrived at the big hotel, both Rachel and Morgan came back to reality. Morgan looked around and exclaimed, "Wow this hotel is huge"! "Well, they always pick out of the top 3 for long flights," said Rachels Mom, who was helping her Dad unload the luggage. Rachel asked of curiosity "Mom, what are we doing today"? "Probably sightseeing until the night for the concert. Me and your dad will drop you off and go out for ourselves," said her Mom, rolling her suitcase over inside the building and up to the check-in counter. After about 15 minutes, they had the keys and walked over to the elevator. Once they were on it and pushed level 29 for the business level, her father had another small surprise. "Girls, we had a little extra money with us since we got an extra ticket and me and your mother got 2 free months stay. So we are using a sweet, as in 1 hole regular sized hotel room for you, and another connected to ours" said her Dad. Rachel and Morgan said at the same time "Cool! Thanks a lot"! When they finally reached their rooms, Rachels parents gave them 2 keys. "One for each of you" her Mother explained. "So if one of us looses 1 then we will always have an spare key," said Morgan. "Exactly, good guess" said Rachels Dad. "Now unload your things so we can go" said her Mom walking through the door that led to their parents room. "Use your key, Ill hold mine" said Rachel to Morgan. "OK" replied Morgan as she inserted the card in the slot and pulled it out. Rachel opened the door and held it for Morgan "Thanks" said Morgan. "No problem, any time," replied Rachel. They looked around the room. They said at the same time "This room is huge"! Rachel smiled and said, "I get the bed by the window"! "Ok you can have that one," said Morgan, pulling her suitcase onto her bed that she was using. They pulled out all their clothes and things, and put them in either a drawer or in the bathroom. In about a half an hour, they were outside and ready to go. After their car pulled up, they got in and left. "Well, I think we should all eat lunch first," said her Dad, looking at the clock in the car, which said 12:45. "Ya Im hungry," said Morgan. "So am I" agreed Rachel. After lunch, they just drove around. "Hey isnt that the Statue of Liberty" said Rachel and Morgan, surprisingly at the same time. Rachels Mom laughed and said, "Yes thats it. Hey I have an idea. Lets go to the top of the Statue and look around," said her Mother with a suggestion. "Thats a good idea," said her Dad, turning into the lane with a sign that said "Statue of Liberty, this way". "Ya Im getting tired of driving in circles" said Rachel quietly to Morgan. "Hey look! There is that recording building that we saw 5 minuets ago," said Morgan sarcastically. "You know, I just remembered something. Your Aunt Pam called me before you left. She moved here 3 years ago and that is the recording studio that she works at" said her Mother, pointing at the big 3-story building that Morgan was talking about. "But about 1 and a half years ago, she got promoted to president of it so now she owns it" finished her Father with a smile. "Anyway, she called me because she heard that we were coming to New York so she invited you girls to come see her because a band that usually goes there to practice and record, will be there Tuesday. So after that, you girls will spend the next week there helping around and seeing how it works," said her Mother, with a suspicious smile as if she knew something. The girls looked at each other and exclaimed, "Cool"! Rachel asked, "We are really going there"? "Yes you are, believe it or not" said her Father. After that, they pulled into the parking section, and toured the Statue of Liberty for the next 2 hours. By then it was almost 3:00. "Well, lets go to the mall," said her Dad still seeing they had a couple hours before dinner. "Ok" said both girls as they hopped into the car. As they drove along the streets, Rachels parents tried to decide which mall to go to. They finally decided, but got into a traffic jam on the way. By the time they finally got to the mall, it was 4:23. The girls didnt mind the traffic jam, because once again they were listening to Dream Streets CD. They got out of the car and walked into Dillards because her Mom wanted a little more clothes. Of course, Rachel didnt want to because she hated clothes shopping and so did Morgan. Her parents told them to meet them at the food court at 6:30. "OK see you then" said Morgan. "Bye Mom! Bye Dad. Called Rachel walking off with Morgan. They walked out of Dillards and Morgan asked, "Well, where should we go"? "Well I want to go to the book store real quick" said Rachel looking at the map for the mall. "Ok, but then I want to go to the music store" said Morgan, locating it on the map, which they discovered was only a 3-minute walk from the bookstore. "Ok lets go," said Rachel walking off with Morgan following her. On their way to the bookstore, they stopped in a couple extra stores just to waste time and look around. They finally made it to the bookstore and Rachel bought a couple of books with the $200.00 dollars she had. {No, its not all there with her, some of its in the bank. Anyway as I was saying} "Well, incase I need the books for later on or our ride home" explained Rachel. "Ok, now lets go to the music store," replied Morgan already walking off. "Wait up! Let me see what time it is" said Rachel, grabbing Morgans arm. "Its" said Morgan impatiently. "6:00" finished Rachel who now was walking slowly but Morgan gave her a little push to walk faster since they only had about 15 minutes. While at the music store, Morgan was looking for something. She walked back to Rachel and said "You know what? Dream Streets CD is sold out". "No kidding! Their popular" said Rachel rolling her eyes. "No, their so bad, they didnt even get on the worst radio station yet," said Morgan sarcastically. At 6:30 they met Rachels parents at the food court and ate dinner, then soon headed for the hotel at 7:49. When they got there, Rachels Dad pulled into the valet parking and got out. They went to the elevators, and headed to their rooms. "Goodnight" said the girls, as Morgan unlocked the door and opened it for Rachel. They watched TV for 2 hours until 9:55 then finally turned of the lights and said "Goodnight" to each other, with both of them thinking the same thing. The next day, they spent most of the day touring the Empire State Building, and taking pictures of the view, and of the city. By dinnertime, both girls were tired of walking so much. They went to bed early, but Rachel and Morgan could barely sleep because of the big event that would be happening tomorrow. They would be at their favorite bands concert alone. But little did the girls know, that they might not even get to the concert at all.
