| Chapter Five The boys were all brought out of their room and they met up in the hall. They had never felt more relieved to see each other than right then. "What the hell is going on?" Chris asked. The others shrugged. "Don't get too close please," Dr. Grey said. The last thing they needed was one killing the other on accident. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The five entered an office. There was a desk and seated there was an old man in a wheel chair. His face was serious, even frightening. Five chairs were placed in front of the desk for the boys to sit. "You may be wondering what you're doing here, and how you got here." The boys nodded. "I'm Professor Charles Xavier. I run this school. The Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, which is where you are now." "Well what do you want with us?" Matt asked. "If you shut up for a minute maybe you'll find out," Logan said. "Well, first allow me to introduce these five. These are Storm, Cyclops, Wolverine, Phoenix and Rogue, also known as Ororo Monroe, Scott Summers, Logan, Jean Grey and, well, Rogue." "Yeah, nice to meet you, but um...what exactly happened to us?" "You were hit by lighting," Professor X explained. "The power of the force has turned you into one of us." "One of you...?" Frankie asked. "Mutants," Professor X explained. "We are mutants. We're here to help the people, but we need your help first." "Wait, you need our help to help people? What do you need us for?" "Well, not all mutants are good," Xavier explained. "Magneto and his brotherhood are out to take over the world, as a way to protect themselves from the evil of humanity." "Wait, wait, evil?" "We're not accepted. We're thought of as freaks, weirdos, queers," Logan explained. "We can't get normal jobs..." "We can't have normal lives, we can't be normal teenagers," Rogue cut in. "People fear us because we're different," Storm replied. "So you guys, don't mind really, you want to help, but Magenty wants to take over so that mutants can rule the world?" Greg asked. "Magneto," Pheonix corrected. "Same difference," Greg muttered. "So what do we do?" Chris asked. "You..." Professor X replied. "Have become one of us." Chapter Six "Excuse me?" Jesse asked. "Are you telling us that we're...mutants!?" "Exactly. The lighting shock ran electricity through your body and turned you into one of us." "Is that what happened to you guys?" Matt asked. "No, we were born this way," Rogue said. "It's very improbable that you gain your powers the way you have, but not impossible." "Well, what powers do we have?" Chris asked, interested. "We don't know yet. That's the problem," Pheonix said. "That's why you have all these different things on. We don't know if your power is like Rogue's, who can suck your power, even kill someone, but touching them, or like Cyclops', who can release force beams from his eyes, uncontrollably." "Whoa whoa, she can kill someone by touching them and he's got laser beams shooting out of his eyes?" Chris asked, amazed. "Yes...we just need to figure out what the rest of you have. That is why you have each been assigned to a room for the rest of the day to work with-." "Wait a minute," Jesse stated, "We can't do this. What about the concerts, or the fans? We're on a schedual!" "That's been taken care of," Storm replied. "Due to an illness, you are not able to travel." "But our parents-." "Everything is taken care of," Xavier replied. "Now you are to depart into different rooms. You're dismissed." They left the room and went into the hall. "Okay, Jesse, you're with Scott, Chris with Logan, Frankie with Rogue, Matt with Storm and Greg, you're with me," Pheonix explained. The groups broke up and all headed to seperate rooms. +Next+ |
