"Oh, Dear!" Letterbox
Our FOURTH Planted Box!

What a great stamp this is!  Our carving is still slow, so The Engraver (of CT) kindly sent us 4 stamps to place.  This is the second.

Getting There:
From C-470 westbound, take the exit that comes after Santa Fe and before Platte Canyon.  This road is not marked.  It is approximately 1 mile after the Santa Fe exit.  You will have your own turn lane.  Once you make the turn in, you will continue that turn to almost make a U-turn.  You will follow this dirt road (you will be following C-470) to the parking lot.  There are 2 lots.  This place is VERY crowded on weekends, and parking is very limited.

While at this park, you may want to check out

Finding the Box:
Head for the trail at the river.  This is a sidewalk trail.  Facing the river, you will go to your left.  Follow the side walk past the Electric polls.  The path will curve slightly.  Soon you will come upon a pond/lake on your right hand side.  Right before this, there is a dirt trail that is very faint.  Take this trail.  You will be heading towards a bird feeder.  Follow the path to go around the back of the pond/lake.  You will now be between the pond/river (on your left) and Platte River (on your right).  Walk for a few minutes - you will come to a clearing.  In front of you and slightly to your right, you will find 2 dead trees that have fallen.  Under these trees is where you will find this box.
