Chapter 10

It was two days later and I was finally discharged from the hospital. I walked down to the nursery with

 Nick. I held onto his hand tightly as we got closer. We walked up to the Nurses desk.

"Hello, We would like to see our baby" Nick said, his words trembling a little. I knew he was as sad as I

 was, just thinking about our baby suffering made my heart break

"The baby's name please" The nurse said, her glasses sliding off her nose as she looked at us.

"Faith Noel" I whispered as the nurse typed something into her computer.

"Come with me" the nurse said as she stood up and walked towards a room as we followed her. I saw a

 translusant bin ahead as we stopped at the bin. I looked down at the almost lifeless body that was our

 baby girl. Tears fell down my cheeks as Nick pulled me into a tight hug. The nurse walked away as I

 felt tears fall onto the top of my head. All the machines and tubes scared me was she going to live? Or

 die in the hospital. I touched Faith's soft cold cheek and stroked it.

"Baby we better go" Nick said as I nodded my head. We walked slowly out of the room and out of the

 hospital. I put my head on Nick's shoulder as we walked to the car. Nick opened my door and I got in.

"thank you" I whispered as Nick closed the door. He got in on the other side and started the car. We

 drove towards the house as I looked over at Nick. I saw him glance at me out of the corner of his eye.

"Whats wrong baby?" He asked as we turned down a side street.

"Faith still doesn't have a last name" I said as I looked out the window.

"Don't worry about that now, well figure it all out later after you get some rest" Nick said as we pulled

 into our driveway. I got out of the car and waited for Nick to get out, as he walked over to me I took

 his hand and he smiled down at me, I could tell he had some hope in Faith. I smiled a weak smile back at

 him as we walked into the house.

"Go get some rest, you need it" Nick said as he kissed my forhead.

"What about dinner?" I asked as Nick shook his head.

"You don't worry about that I'll make dinner tonite" Nick said as I smiled.

"Oh no you'll burn down the house" I said as Nick laughed lightly. He picked me in his arms and brought

 me upstairs.

"Nick what are you doing?" I asked as I put my arm around his neck.

"taking you upstairs since you wont go yourself" Nick said as he smiled. He placed me down softly on our

 bed. I got under the covers as he kissed me. I saw Him walk out of the room. I felt my eyes start to get

 heavy as they closed.
