Chapter 9

" Nick do you know where my suitcase is?" Mel yelled from inside her room and Nick walked in.

" what did you say?" Nick asked as he plopped down on Mel's bed and gave her a cheesy smile.

" You know what i said now tell me where it is" Mel said as she looked in the closet and didnt see it.

" But i dont want you to leave " Nick said pouting as Mel rolled her eyes.

" Nick please tell me where it is i only have a day to pack my whole room again" Mel said as Nick laughed.

" Ok ok its in the closet under the stairs" Nick said as Mel nodded and walked out of the room and down the stairs. Nick watched as she disappeared and layed back on the bed. He was running out of time to tell her but he couldnt tell her because it was too soon.

" What am i gonna do?" Nick mumbled as Mel walked back in and looked at him. She placed her suitcase on top of him and Nick looked up at her.

" Well if you dont want me to pack my stuff on top you your gonna have to move your pretty butt out of the way" Mel said as Nick laughed and he got up and placed the suitcase back on the bed.

" You think i have a cute butt?"Nick asked as Mel smiled.

" Wouldnt you like to know?" Mel asked as she put some of her shirts in there.

" Tell me" Nick said as he watched her.

" Maybe...." Mel said walking back to the dresser and taking some more of her clothes. Nick stood in front of her suitcase and Mel looked at him.

" Move nick"

" No not until you tell me if i have a cute butt or not" Nick said as Mel smiled and pushed him out of the way.

" Fine dont tell me" Nick said sticking out his lower lip and walking out of the room with his head hanging down.

" Ok fine you do" Mel said as Nick smiled and stopped.

" Thank you i know i do" Nick said as Mel laughed and finished packing her stuff.

" Oh yeah AJ's having a party and invited us" Nick said as Mel looked at him.

" You told him i was going didnt you?" Mel asked as Nick nodded and she put her suitcase by the door.

" yeah why dont you want to go?" Nick as Mel shrugged.

" Not really...." Mel said as Nick stuck out his lower lip again and mel sighed " ok ill just for you be happy " Mel said as Nick smield and walked out of the room.

" Hey where you going?" Mel asked as Nick put his head back in the door.

" callin aj to tell him your coming to the party" Nick said as Mel nodded and sat down on her bed trying to figure out if her act around nick was good enough not to show her true feelings for him.

Nick walked down the stairs and into his office. He closed the door and picked up the phone and dialed AJ's number.

" hello?" AJ asked.

" Yo man I got Mel to come to the party"Nick said.

" OK me and Leah will get the decorations up" AJ said.

" k see ya later bye" Nick said as he hung up the phone and got a piece of paper out from the drawer. He picked up a pen and started to write...

" mel hurry up!!" Nick said looking at his watch.

" Hold your horses im fixing my hair" mel said as Nick put his head in his hand and sighed.

" Women" he thought as Mel walked down the stairs.

" Damn nick you could look at the girls later" Mel said as Nick laughed and they got into the car. They drove to AJ's house and then got out of the car.

" Where's everyone else?" Mel asked as Nick shrugged.

" Umm maybe there running late" Nick said as he walked up to the door and opened it.

" Dont you think you should knock?" Mel asked as Nick shook his head no and they walked into the living room.

" Where is everyone?" Mel asked as the lighst came on.

" SURPRISE!!" everyone yelled and Mel jumped.

" Holy crap" She said as everyone laughed. Mel looked around and saw a "Farewell" banner. Everyone hugged her and she thanks them for the party.

" Party time!!" AJ yelled as he turned up the radio and every one started to party.

Nick took Mel's hand and took her out on the dance floor and smiled at her. She smiled as she put her arms around his neck and put her head on his shoulder.

" Im gonna miss you alot" Nick said as they swayed back and forth.

" I know ill miss you too" mel said as she smiled.

" Tell her now" Nick thought as he looked down at Mel. When he looked at her he saw the Mel he knew from along time ago before he ever had feelings for her.

" Why do i have feelings for you now Mel?" Nick asked himself as they continued to dance. Mel looked up and him and just started to get the butterflys in her stomach. It was an all of a sudden thing when she started to love him but she just couldnt get enough of him and she didnt know why.

" Dont do nothing Mel" She thought " Just a few more hours you'll be on the plane back to chicago and Nick will be around the world".

" Mel i need to talk to you" Leah said as she tapped Mel on the shoulder and made her relize other people were around her.

" Ok" Mel said as she looked at Nick and smiled as she walked off into another room with Leah.

" Wassuuupp?" Mel asked as Leah closed the door and Leah laughed.

" You really have to get away from Nick" Leah said as Mel smiled.

" I got to tell you something" Leah said as Mel looked at her.

" Let me guess your not going back to chicago with me because you too madly in love with michael" Mel said.

" Lucky guess" Mel said as Leah looked at her.

" Nothing wrong why do you think that?" Mel asked as leah laughed.

" Its soo easy too tell with you" Leah said as Mel laughed.

" That obvious i guess i wouldnt make a good actress" Mel said as Leah shook her head.

" Its Nick isnt it?" Leah asked as Mel was totally stunned by her question.

" How'd you know"? Mel asked.

" Mel its plastered all over your face" Leah said.

" if it is then how come i cant see Nick on my face when i look in the mirror?" Mel asked as Leah laughed and there was a knock on the door.

" Come in!!" Leah yelled as Nick poked his head in the room.

" You guys are missing all the fun" Nick said as Mel and Leah laughed.

" Ok well be out there in a second" Mel said as Nick nodded and closed the door.

" well i guess we should join the fun" Leah said as Mel nodded and they walked out of the room.

Nick and Mel walked into his house and Nick closed the door.

" did you have fun at the party?" Nick as Mel nodded and layed down on the couch.

" Yeah it was fun did u have fun?" Mel asked.

" yeah it was kool wasnt it funny when AJ was dancing on top of the table?" Nick asked as he picked up her feet and sat down placing her feet back down on his lap.

" Yeah that was hilarious i think he had just a lil too much to drink" Mel said as Nick nodded.

" You want to watch tv or something?" Nick asked as Mel looked at the clock and noticed it was 2 am.

" nah i got to go to bed" Mel said as Nick nodded and watched her get up.

" Night nick" Mel said as she kissed his cheek and then walked up the stairs.

" Night" Nick said as he sat there for a second and hit himself in the head.

" Damn you Nick you should of told her" Nick thought.

" Nothing you could do now its too late" He said to himself as he walked to his room and went to sleep.
