Chapter 5

A Week Later

Melissa's View

"Josh! Come on! You promised me you would take me to the mall to get a new outfit." I whined and yelled upstairs to Josh. One week left until my biggest dream ever comes true. I can't wait to go! I get to fly down to Florida, their home state. I have never been there, but I am so thrilled about going that I don't care how the heck I am getting there.

"Melissa! Calm down! I am coming just give me a few minutes."

About 5 minutes later Josh still wasn't down here. "JOSH! Its been five minutes now come on. I am getting very impatient with you." I yelled upstairs to him. He was taking forever to come on. Finally he came running down.

"I am ready, now. Lets go." He said walking towards the door. And so we left on our way to get my outfit to wear to meet the Backstreet Boys. I am so toooo thrilled you can say and we went to the mall and the first store I went in had the perfect outfit. I am not going to say what it looks like, because it will come out later on.

One Week Later

Today is the day that I have my dream come true. It sucks that its happening this way and that I am not going to be around much longer. My goal is to still live to my 18th birthday. I packed up all my stuff for the week long stay down in Florida. Make A Wish won't tell me what I am going to be doing the whole time, they said you have to wait and see.

"Melissa! Are you ready to go sweetie?" My step-mom asked.

"Yeah Hannah! Be right down!" I yelled down to her. I call her Hannah she said not to call her mom, but I sometimes did. I ran downstairs with my suitcase in hand and my carry on bag. I was so excited that my dream was coming true.

"Josh and Dawn are taking you to the airport. I have to go into work and your dad is gone already." Hannah said kissing me on the cheek, 'Have fun and call us when you get in."

"Thanks and I will try and call everyday if I can." I said.

At The Airport

“Flight 760 to Orlando, Florida is now boarding at Gate 4B.”

"Well this is it. I am going to miss you both so much." I said pulling Dawn and Josh into a group hug.

"Don't worry about us. Call if you need some one to talk to and let us know everyday if you can. This is your dream and we are both very happy for you." Josh said with Dawn nodding in agreement. I gave them both one last big hug and got on the plane. I waved from my seat and the plane took of to Florida. In just 4 hours my dream was going to come true.
