Chapter 3

Melissa's View

"Do I wanna what?" I asked looking at my brother and sister questionably.

"Do you want to meet the Backstreet Boys?" They both said at the same time. Also looking at me like I was stupid. I was in shock. Did they say what I thought they said. Then another wave of dizziness hit me.

"Melissa! Are you alright?" Dawn asked catching me before I fell over.

"Yeah I am fine. I just didn't eat like I should've. I am just tired." I said weakly. I knew something was wrong.

"Melissa, look at me." Josh said. Once the room stopped spinning I looked right into his eyes.

"I am going to go tell mom. Stay here, both of you." And Josh went out of the room. I sat down on the floor and tried to keep my head from spinning.

Josh's View

I was worried sick about Melissa. She has had dizzy spells in the past, but nothing like this. She was getting them in waves and it was scaring me and Dawn both. I walked down the hall to my parents room and my mom was on the treadmill exercising.

"Hey mom."

"Hey hunny what’s wrong?" She said stopping. I guess I had that look on my face.

"There’s something seriously wrong with Melissa. She’s being hit with dizzy spells like in cycles or something.."

"She'll be fine don't worry. Have her lay down and no tv or phone for her either. If she’s worse tomorrow then I am going to take her to the doctor."

I walked back out of the room down the hall and then I felt some one hit me. It went by too fast for me to remember what happened then I heard, "YOU'LL NEVER TALK BACK TO ME AGAIN BOY." Then I felt some one kicking and punching me on my back and then the final blow, I felt something cut down my back.. I lost consciousness after that.

Dawn's View

I stayed in Melissa's room until she fell asleep. She was worried about Josh but I told her that I would have him come in and say goodnight. I walked out into the hallway, I looked and my parents door was shut. The lights weren't on and so I didn't turn them on and then I tripped and fell over something. I turned on the bathroom light and found Josh unconscious and bleeding. I screamed for some one, anyone at that point.
