Chapter 1: Getting Ready
"Mom, where's my blue tie die skirt?" I yelled as rushed
around my room, trying to figure out what to wear. My best friend
had gotten front row tickets and backstage passes to a Dream Street
concert. I am totally in love with them. Mostly Jesse though.

"I
don't know, Wear your bleached pants and the Eore shirt." She
yelled from the kitchen.

"Momma,
I can't wear that shirt."

"Why
not? That's your favorite outfit."

"I
know that, but Eore is a cartoon character on a show meant for ages
five and under, and I'm sixteen."

"Ok,
ok, I'll give you money, and you and Divina can go shopping and
then go to the concert from there."
I walked into the kitchen, "Thanks Momma, you're the best."
I kissed her, and she pulled a $50 bill from her pocket. "Bye."

"Bye."
I ran next door to get Divina "Hey Diva, let's go."

"We
don't have to leave for another hour."

"Yea,
but I have nothing to wear, so we need to go shopping."

"Oh,
ok. Mom, can I have some money, me and Ave have nothing to wear
to the concert." She said.

"Yea
here." Shelly, Diva's mom pulled out a $50 and gave it to her.
We left and went shopping. We decided to get the same outfit. We
decided on midnight blue belly shirts that said Spoiled Brat and
black baggy pants.

"I
have got to do something with my hair. It's a mess again."
My hair is dirty blond, and it never stayed neat. Divina was used
to doing my hair for me.

"Come
on. We'll go home and do it." She said, pulling me to the car.
She put my hair into five braids, and then pulled them back into
a pony tail.

"Diva,
you're a life saver."

"Well,
now it's your turn. We need to paint our nails." We painted
our finger nails Black with Midnight Blue stripes, and our toe nails
the same. Then we got dressed.

"Hey,
have you seen my silver bracelets? I'm kinda goin for a Gothic look
for some idiotic reason."

"They're
in the kitchen, get mine too."

"Ok."
I went to go get them, and went back to the bathroom and finished
getting ready. Then we walked from the bathroom.

"Don't
you two look nice." Said a voice from the room behind us.
We turned around slowly. I saw who it was and screamed. "Justin!
Oh my God! What are you doing here? I haven't seen you for three
years." I hugged him. He laughed. Then Divina hugged him.

"I
came to see you. Your moms told me you were gonna go see Dream Street,
and you got backstage passes."

"So
you got a ticket and backstage pass for yourself, and decided to
play big brother and make sure they don't turn into psychos."

"Yep.
I know you are in love with them, and since you're so pretty, they
might like you, and I don't want them to hurt you"

"Well,
if big brother embarrasses us big brother dies. Got it?"

"Got
it."

"Ok,
but if you come, you drive, and you have to listen to Dream Street
the whole way there."

"It's
a sacrifice I'll have to make."

"Well,
we need to leave, like… now." We all ran from the hose,
to the car. "Bye." We yelled on our way out.
Chapter 2: The Concert
"Ok, I'm going to the lamest concert on the planet, just to
protect my little sisters." Justin said.

"First
of all, we didn't even know you were gonna be here, much less make
you go to the concert. Second, Diva maybe your little sister, but,
for your info, we are the same age." I replied.

"I'm
a month earlier than you, therefore you are my little sister."

"Whatever."

"Ok
girls, we're here."

"Oh
my God! We get to meet Dream Street!" I half screamed. Me and
Divina hooked arms with Justin, and pulled him across the street.
We showed the guy our tickets, and went to our seats. Then the concert
started. The opening act sucked, as usual, then Dream Street came
out. Justin looked bored.

"You
might wanna look like you're having just a little fun. Try looking
at some of the girls." Divina laughed. Justin looked around.
We rolled our eyes. Then they sang Jennifer Goodbye. I knew he always
picked one girl to come up on stage, but me and Divina were surprised
when he picked both of us. The whole time, we had been singing and
dancing to all of the songs. We knew the whole dace to It Happens
Every Time.

"Ok,"
Greg said, "Now is the time that every girl in this place has
been waiting for. I get to pick one girl to come up on stage with
us. Normally I don't have any trouble picking the girl, but today,
there's two girls. I think they're sisters. They know every word
to every song, and every dance step to It Happens Every Time. They
have great style. You two." He pointed at me and Divina.

"Oh
my God! Justin, pinch me." He did. "Ow."

"What?
You told me to." Me and Divina hopped onto the stage.

"What
are your names?" Greg asked.

"I'm
Ave, and this is Diva. Actually her names Divina, but Diva's her
nickname."

"Are
you two sisters?"

"Not
really. We're such best friends that we could be. Same thing with
Justin. He's not really our big brother, but he's pretty close.
He says he's my big brother, and he's only a month older."
I pointed to Justin.

"Well,
I couldn't help but notice that the two of you have a lot of talent."
We blushed.

"Thanks."
We replied.

"You
get to help me sing this song."

"Cool."
We sang the song. Greg hugged us and we went back to our seats.
We didn't tell him that he'd be seeing us again that day. When the
concert was over, we went to go meet the guys. We were so exited
we pulled Justin so fast he almost tripped and fell on his a**.
"Hey, hey, hey, slow down. You're gonna kill me." Justin
said.

"That's
nice." I said. The guys from Dream Street were waiting for
us. I saw Jesse and almost melted.

"Hey
Ave, hey Diva." Greg said.

"Hey."
We replied.

"You
know, you guys are really talented." Chris said. We blushed.

"Thanks."
We replied. "Oh, this is Justin." I said. The guys said
hi, and we went into a little room and sat down and talked. Then
Dream Street's manager walked in the room.

"Hey,"
He said, "Aren't you the girls Greg sang to during the concert?"

"Yea,
that's us," Diva said, "Why?"

"You
guys have a lot of talent."

"Thanks."

"Have
you two ever thought of singing together?"

"You
mean, like, in a group?" I asked.

"Yea."

"We've
thought about singing together. I mean, just me and her."

"How
old are you?"

"I'm
sixteen and Diva's thirteen."

"If
you want to sing, I'd be happy to be your manager."

"Really?"

"You
guys go home and ask your moms what they think, then call me."
He took out a card and gave it to me. I read it.

"I'll
take that." Justin said, grabbing the card from my hands.

"Hey!
Justin you idiot, give it back!"

"I
don't want you to lose it."

"Come
on, I'm not that irresponsible."

"Shut
up Ave. I'll give it back to you when you talk to Dawnie."
I just rolled my eyes. "I told you he's like my big brother,
and he's only a month older than me." The guys laughed.

"Hey,
we have Play Station 2 in the bus, you wanna come play?" Jesse
asked.

"Do
you have SSX Tricky?"

"Yea."

"We
are so there!" Chris led the way to the bus. A couple hours
later, my cell rang. At the same time, we all took out our phones.

"Hello?"

"Hi,
Ave?" It was my mom.

"It's
mine." I said. "Yea."

"Are
you on your way home? It's 8:30."

"It
is? No, we're still in the tour bus playing Tricky."

"Well,
it's time for you to come home."

"But
Momma, I'm sitting in a tour bus with Dream Street! Coming home
is the furthest thing from my mind."

"Young
lady, do not make me ground you."

"Fine,
we'll come home." I hung up the phone. "Justin, Diva,
Momma says we have to come home."

"Ok."

"We
can walk you to your car if you want." Frankie offered.

"Cool."
We left the bus and started to walk towards our car. "How long
are you staying in California?"

"We're
leaving tomorrow." Matt replied.

"That
sucks." Diva said. Greg walked over to me and put his arm around
me. I thought I was gonna die.

"Ave,
can I have your phone number?" he asked.

"Yea.
Hey Justin, you got a pen?"

"Yea."
He said, and he threw one at me. I wrote my number on his hand.
We walked up to the car. Greg hugged me goodbye. So did the rest
of the guys. Me and Diva waved to the guys until we couldn't see
them anymore. I sat back in my seat and gave a huge sigh. "Is
it just me, or do you have a huge crush on Greg?"

"Yea,
I thought you liked Jesse." Diva said.

"Greg's
so much cuter in person."

"I
know for a fact that you gave Greg your number."

"So?"

"So,
unless I'm terribly mistaken, you're still with Carlos."

"So
what. Greg's just a friend." Then we got home. The phone rang.
I picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey
Baby." It was Carlos.

"Oh,
hey."

"Ave,
I have to tell you something."

"What?"
Chapter 3: Feeling Bad

"I've
been cheating on you."

'Wh-what?"

"I've
been cheating on you. I'm sorry, but it's over Ave." I hung
up the phone. I burst into tears. Justin and Diva came rushing into
the room.

"Ave,
are you ok?" Justin asked.

"Carlos
just broke up with me." I cried. The phone rang again. Diva
answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hi
is Ave there?" It was Greg.

"Hold
on. I don't know if she really wants to talk to anyone right now."

"Why?"

"Her
boyfriend-"

"Say
no more."

"Ave,
you wanna talk to Greg?"
I took the phone, "Yea sure. Hey Greg."

"Sorry
about your boyfriend,"

"Yea,
me too. So what's up?"

"Have
you made a decision about what Brian said?"

"What?
Oh, no, I forgot. Gimme your number and I'll call you when I get
an answer."

"Ok."
He gave it to me.

"Well,
bye."

"Bye."

"Diva,
we forgot to ask Momma about what Brian said. Justin, where's that
card." He took it out and gave it to me.

"Hey,
when we become famous, you can either forget about Carlos, are diss
him really horribly when we're on TV."

"That's
if we become famous. Mom, Shelly."

"We're
in the kitchen." They yelled. Me and Diva ran in there as fast
as we could.

"We
forgot to tell you last night. Brian, Dream Street's manager said
we have talent." Diva said.

"And
he asked us if we wanted to sing, and that he'd be our manager,
and all we have to do is ask you, and then call him."

"That's
great! But you do have to think about what that means. You'll be
missing a lot of school, and you won't be able to see your friends
as much." Shelly said.

"The
school thing isn't a problem. We'll get tutors, and we'll get all
the work that we're gonna miss while we're away with us on tour."
I replied.

"As
for the friends thing, me and her have each other. When we open
for someone, we'll have them, and maybe we can take a couple of
our friends on tour with us when it's summer vacation." Diva
added.

"Well,
it sounds like they have it planned out very well. Sure, you have
our permission." Momma said.

"Thanks
you! Thank you! Thank you! We're gonna go call Brian." I dialed
the number,

"Brian?"

"Yea,
is this Ave?"

"Yes
it is."

"What'd
they say."

"They
said yea. They think it's a great idea."

"Great.
Do you know three other girls that might want to?"

"I'm
sure I could find some. Why?"

"Well,
the producer said you have to have a minimum of five girls and guys."

"Oh,
so we can have guys too?"

"Yea,
if you want."

"Hold
on." I moved the phone away from my ear, "Justin."

"What?"
He yelled.

"Do
you wanna sing with us?"

"Yea!
Hell yea!"
I put the phone back to my ear, "We have one guy that wants
to. Our brother."

"You
mean the guy that was with you at the concert?"

"Yea.
He's not really our brother, but he's as close to the real thing
as you can get without being the real thing."

"Ok,
you need one more girl and one more guy, or two more guys."

"Ok,
I'll get back to you on that. I'll know by Friday." I hung
up the phone. "So Justin, how long are you stayin here?"

"I'm
gonna be here for the rest of the school year."

"Your
mom on a business trip?"

"Yep."

"Well,
I gotta go call Greg." I dialed his number. His little sister
picked up. "Um…hi…is…Greg home?"

"Yea,
hold on." His little sister replied. "Greeeeeeeg, it's
your girlfriend."

"Shut
up Danielle." He yelled, Then he picked up the phone. "Sorry
about that."

"So
that's what you've been telling everyone."

"Anyway,
what did your moms say?"

"They
said it's cool. Me and Diva Just need to find one more boy and one
more girl, or two more boys."

"I
thought you have to have five, not four."

"Justin's
doin it too."

"Ooooh."

"Well,
I gotta go. I have to ask my friend Julia."

"Alright,
bye."

"Bye."

"Wait!"

"Yea?"

"Are
you goin out with anyone?"

"No,
why?"

"Would
you, um, would you ever consider goin out with me?"

"Um…I
have to think about it."

"Alright,
bye." He hung up.

"Guess
what Greg just asked me!" I yelled so that the whole house
could hear.

"What?"
Justin yelled back.

"He
just asked me if I would out with him." Justin and Diva came
running into the room.

"He
did?" Diva asked in shock.

"What
did you say?" Justin asked.

"I
told him I have to think about it." I replied.

"Good,
say no."

"Why?
What are you? Some kind of moronic idiot?"

"Never
go out with a guy you don't know very well."

"Justin,
you're not my dad. I'm a big girl now. If he hurts me, you can kill
him."

"Ok.
You know I will."

"And
in the mean time, take out your anger on Carlos."

"Gladly."

"Well,
call him back!" Diva yelled.

"Ok,
ok." I replied. I called him, "Hey, is Greg there?"

"Yea."
Amanda replied. "Who's this?"

"Ave."

"Hi.
I'm Greg's sister. He has been talking about you a lot today. Every
time he said anything, it had something to do with you."
I laughed, "Are you serious?"

"Yea,
and I heard him talking to Jesse and Chris on three-way. I listened
in on the phone. Chris and Jesse think you and your sister are hot.
Chris also wants to know if your sister is going out with anyone."

"Yea,
she is. His name is Dillion."

"Well,
I'll let you talk to Greg. He's on the computer. He's gonna go nuts
as soon as he hears your name. Here listen." She took the phone
away from her ear so she could yell to Greg.

"Hey
Greg, it's Ave."

"Get
over here and gimme the phone." Greg yelled.

"You
come get it."
Greg got up. He tripped on the headphone cord, "Oh, s***! Ow,
f***." Then I heard a thump. Now I was giggling like crazy.
Greg had fallen on the floor while he was running to the phone.
I could hear Amanda cracking up. "Hello?" Greg squeaked.

"Hi."
I said, trying to hold back my laughter.

"Go
ahead and laugh. You know you wanna." I burst out laughing.
I laughed for about one minute.

"Are
you ok?" I asked when I was done. "Did you hurt anything?"

"Just
my pride." I giggled. "So, will you go out with me?"

"Yea."

"Whoa.
I didn't expect you to say that. I thought you'd want to go out
with Chris."

"Nah.
When I first started liking you guys, I liked Chris, then I liked
Jesse, now I like you. Actually, I still like all three of you,
but I'm not the kinda girl that's gonna wait for one certain guy
to ask me out. Plus, you seem really sweet."

"Thanks."

"Well,
I gotta go."

"Bye
baby."

"Bye
Greg." I hung up.
Chapter 4: Sugar and
Spice

"Hey,
Jul?"

"Yea."
She replied when I called her.

"I
know you like to perform in front of people, and I know you like
to sing and dance, so what would you say to being in a band with
me, Diva, Justin, and some other guy that we haven't picked yet?"

"I'd
say h*** yeah. Why?"

"Cuz
we're gonna be in a band!"

"Oh,
my God!"

"I
know."

"Yeah,
I'll do it."

"Ok,
I gotta go ask Justin and Diva for suggestions for another guy."

"Ok,
bye." I hung up. I walked into the kitchen. "Guys, I need
help. We need another guy."

"How
'bout Nick." Justin laughed.

"Don't
even go there boy. I will not be able to stand him for long periods
of time. Be serious."

"Ok…um…
how 'bout Julian?" Diva asked.

"Good
idea. Lemme call him." So I called him. He answered the phone.
"Hey Julian. It's Ave."

"Hi.
I haven't heard from you in a while."

"How
would you feel about bein in a band?"

"I'd
love too."

"Well,
good. Cuz me and my friends are gonna be in a group, and we needed
one more guy."

"Cool."

"Well,
I gotta go call Brian. He's gonna be our manager."

"Ok,
bye."
I hung up. "We got him." I yelled. "I'm gonna call
Brian." I dialed his number. "Hey, Brian?"
Yea. Hi Ave."

"We've
got all our people. Two boys and three girls."

"Ok,
I want all of you to come to my hotel right now."

"Ok.
Bye."

"Bye."
I called everyone and told them what hotel to go to. When we arrived,
Dream Street was waiting for us in the lobby.
Greg was the first to see us. "Hi!" He said as he walked
over to give me a hug and a kiss. Then Brian walked down.

"So,"
he said, "What do you wanna call your band?"

"I
dunno. Anyone have any ideas?" I asked.

"How
about the Little Angels?" Diva asked.

"Too
girly." Justin replied.

"I
don't see you commin up with any bright ideas."

"How
'bout Sugar and Spice?" Julia said. We all agreed to that.

"Ok,
your first gig is to open for Dream Street for the rest of the tour."

"Wait,
we don't have any songs." I said.

"Good
thing they're off for a month before they go to the next place.
I want you guys to go home and learn this song." He started
to hand us sheet music.

"Wait,
I have songs at home that everyone knows. I wrote them. I just don't
have the music for them. Just the lyrics." I said.

"That
shouldn't be a problem," Greg said, "I can play guitar
and Jesse can do the piano. I now you have one cuz I heard someone
playing."

"Cool,
you wanna come now?" Julian asked.

"Let's
go." We all got into Dream Street's tour bus. We drove to my
house.

"Momma,
Shelly, we're home." I screamed. They ran into the room.

"How
did it go?" Momma asked.

"Well,
first, this is Dream Street. Greg, Matt, Frankie, Jesse, and Chris.
And the rest of us are now Sugar and Spice." I smiled. "And,
our first song is one that I wrote. Little Green Men. Jesse's doin
the piano, and Greg's doin the guitar. And we get to go on tour
with them."

"That's
great!" Shelly said. They hugged all of us.

"Well,
we gotta start practicing." We practiced everyday for like,
three hours. We had fun though. The song came out really good. The
next month, we went on tour with them. It was so much fun. The next
song we had to learn was also one that I had written. It was called
The Eagle.
At the end of the month, we knew the songs by heart, and were ready
to leave and go on tour. " I cannot believe we're goin on tour!"
Julia said.

"I
know, this has to be like, the coolest day ever!" I replied.
The next day we drove off I the tour bus with Dream Street. We were
gonna go to Palmdale. M magazine was there. They wanted to have
the very first interview with Sugar and Spice. We let them into
the hotel. We all sat around the room that Diva, Julia, and I shared.

"So,
when did you guys first get started?" The reporter asked.
Diva, Justin, Greg, and I smiled at each other. "Weeell."
I replied, "Me and Divina, or Diva were gonna go to a Dream
Street concert. While we were getting ready, Justin came over, and
decided to come with us. We were right in the front row. Me and
Diva knew all the lyrics to every song, and Greg invited both of
us to some up on stage. Afterwards, we had had back sage passes,
and went to see them. Brian, their manager asked us if we wanted
to start a group. We said yea. That same day, I called the rest
of them and asked if they wanted to be in the band, and they said
yea.

"And
you just called Divina 'Diva'?"

"That's
her nickname." Justin replied.

"How
did you come up with the name Sugar and Spice?"

"Well,
we needed a name, " Julian said, "And Diva came up with
Little Angels, but Justin thought that was too girly, so Julia said
Sugar and Spice. And we all agreed." Then the reporter noticed
how close me and Greg were sitting.

"Do
any of you have girlfriends or boyfriends?" She was smart.
She wanted all the dirt. Luckily, we didn't have to lie to her.

"Well,
I'm going out with a guy named Dillion." Diva replied.

"And
Ave's goin out with me." Greg said. Greg kissed me. Then I
saw a flash of light.

"Hey,
who took a picture of that?" I asked. Jesse waved a camera
in my face. "You piece of shiz. Gimme that!" I reached
for the camera, but missed and fell onto Jesse's lap. The reporter
laughed.

"Can
we get a picture of all you guys?" she asked. We all stood
up and posed, "Ok, now Sugar and Spice alone." Dream Street
moved outta the way. They took the picture. "Ok, we're all
done here." Then the reporter left.

"Who
wants food?" Chris asked.

"I'll
meet you there. Jesse, I need to talk to you." I said. Jesse
stayed. Everyone else left. I waited until I couldn't hear them
anymore. "Jesse, I'm gonna hurt you if you don't gimme that
camera!" He waved it in my face, taunting me.

"Come
get it." He said. I pounced at him. I missed. I jumped again,
this time landing on him and tackling him to the bed. Me and Jesse
didn't hear it, but the door opened, some reporters from some newspaper
took pictures, and then closed the door. I got off Jesse.

"Ha,
got it." I laughed. Then we went down to the hotel restaurant.
We found the others and sat down. We then ordered our food and ate.
Then we went back upstairs. We all got into our pajamas. Everyone
came to my room to watch TV. Me and Jesse fell asleep on the same
bed. No one wanted to wake us, so they just let us sleep. Again,
the reporters came in with their cameras, and we didn't notice.
A week later, me and Jesse would be in for the biggest surprise
ever.
Chapter 5: The Suprise
For the next week, we had a concert every night. The last concert
was in Winnetka. At the end of the week, Jesse came to me in the
tour bus with a news paper. We were on our way to where the concert
would be. "Ave, come here." He pulled me out of a kiss
with Greg.

"What
the fudge do you want? Couldn't you see I was busy?" I half
yelled.

"Look."
He shoved the paper in my face. The title was: IS SUGAR AND SPICE'S
AVE PLAYING WITH THE HEARTS OF DREAM STREET'S GREG RAPOSO AND JESSE
MCCARTNEY? I looked at it in shock.
Then I looked at the three pictures. It was a picture of me and
Jesse wrestling for the camera on the hotel bed. Only, that's not
what it looked like we were doing. The picture had been flipped
to look like Jesse was on top of me, and the camera wasn't even
there. The next one was of the night me and Jesse fell asleep watching
TV, and the third was of me and Greg kissing. "What the fudge
is this? Where did you find it?"

"Justin
came up to me with the paper. He looked like he wanted to murder
me. He shoved it at me, and I took it, looked at it, and ran to
look for you."

"We
can never let Greg see this!" Greg came up to us.

"What's
up?" he asked.

"Uh…nothing."
Jesse and I replied quickly. I threw the paper behind me, and unfortunately,
it landed face up, with me and Jesse on the front. Greg saw it.
He only saw SUGAR AND SPICE and DREAM STREET.

"Look,
we made front page news already." He went to pick it up.

"No!"
We gasped. He picked it up and read the title. He looked at us,
confused. Then he looked at the pictures. He looked at us again.
This time with sad eyes. He slowly walked away.

"Greg,
wait. It's not what it looks like. It's a trick with the camera.
And-"

"So
you were on top of him?"

"No…well…yes…but
there's something else that should be in that picture." He
ran out of the bus. I sat down and started to cry. "I don't
get it. Why does everything bad have to happen to me?" Jesse
sat down next to me.

"What
do you mean?" He asked. "I mean, I'd say you're pretty
lucky. You're beautiful, you're very talented, and you have four
of the best friends in the entire world. What more could you possibly
want?"

"I
meant, with guys. My boyfriend broke up with me the night of the
concert. Every guy I've ever thought was the least bit cute either
thought I was annoying, or just too loud. Now Greg is mad at me
for something he saw in a news paper, and didn't even bother to
let me explain."

"Ooh."
Jesse hugged me. Then Greg walked in, and from where he was standing,
it looked like we were kissing.

"So
it's true?" he said.

"What?
He was just hugging me cuz I was crying, and you weren't here to
hug me." I replied. Greg just looked at me. He shook his head
and walked away. I ran after him. "Greg. Me and Jesse were
wrestling."

"Oh,
really?"

"Remember
when we had the M interview and Jess took a picture of me and you
kissing?"

"Yea.
What does that have to do with anything?"

"I
was trying to get the camera away from Jesse. And the other one
was when me and Jess fell asleep watching the movie that night."

"You
actually expect me to believe that?"

"If
you love me, then yes I do expect you to believe it."
He turned around quickly and said, "Well, I guess I don't love
you then." I leaned against the wall of the bus to hold me
up. I felt like he just stabbed a knife through my heart, twisted
it around, and then pulled it out. I slid down to the floor. I could
feel the tears welling up inside my eyes. I didn't wanna cry because
I learned never to let a guy know he hurt you. He stood over me
as if he were waiting for me to cry. When he didn't see the tears,
he stepped over me and walked off the bus. I waited until I heard
the door close, and I started crying. I cried so hard I started
to shake.
Chris walked onto the bus and heard me crying. "Hey, are you
ok?" He asked. I shook my head.

"You
wanna tell me what's up?" I nodded. He took my arm and helped
me up. We walked over to the TV and he turned on my favorite video
game. We started to play. After a while, I was able to talk.

"Remember
when we had the interview with M?" I asked. He nodded. "Jesse
took a picture of me and Greg kissing. When everyone else went down
to eat, I told him to stay behind. Me and him were wrestling for
the camera, and when we came back up to watch the movie with the
rest of you, we fell asleep on the same bed and no one bothered
to wake us up so we could move."

"Yea,
so why is that making you cry?"
I paused the game, and got up. I grabbed the paper and threw it
to Chris. "Cuz of this." He looked at it.

"Ooh."
He stared at the pictures.

"I
explained it to him, but the didn't believe me. I told him that
if he loved me, he'd believe me, and he said 'Then I guess I don't
love you'."

"I
have to go talk to him."

"No!"

"Why?"

"Because,
he'll think I told you because I was trying to turn you guys against
him."

"What
makes you think that?"

"I
haven't had very good luck with guys. Every time something like
this happens, and I tell the guy's friends, he thinks I'm trying
to turn them against him, and they start to hate me even more."

"Mmhuh.
OK. I won't say anything unless it gets really bad. Now play the
d*** game." I laughed and started to play again. Greg walked
in. He walked past us and saw that we were sitting a little closer
than usual. Our shoulders were touching.
"Oh, so now you're gonna play Jesse and Chris." He said.
Again, I felt like he stabbed me, but this time, it felt like a
thousand knives stabbing me all over my body. I threw down the controller,
got up, and ran from the bus. I had money in my pocket, so I went
to 7 11.

"Greg
you stupid moronic F*****. We were just playing Tricky. Do you know
what you did to her? Do you know how many times you've hurt her
today? At least three."

"Do
you know what she did to me?"

"She
didn't do s*** to you."

"Did
you see the news paper?"

"Yes,
I did. I remember the night they fell asleep on the bed. And in
the first picture, there should be a camera."

"So
she lied to you too."
I had gone into 7 11. I walked over to the magazines. I picked up
an issue of M. There were only the group pictures. I was glad someone
was telling the truth. I didn't find anything I wanted. I dug in
my pocket for my money. I had 20 bucks. I walked across the street
to Burger King. I ordered food, sat down, and started to eat it.
I looked at what I got. Suddenly, I didn't feel like eating it.
I picked up a fry and started to nibble at it. I saw Carlos walk
in. I looked down.

"Could
this day get any worse?" I mumbled. Carlos sat at the booth
behind me. He didn't say anything. He watched me nibble at my food
for about 20 minutes. Then he decided there was something wrong
with me. I never nibbled at my food, no matter how much I hated
the person near me.

"You
ok?" He asked.

"No."
I said. I nibbled at my burger. It suddenly looked huge. Carlos
moved next to me. He put his arm around me. "I should have
listened to Justin when he told me not to go out with Greg,"
I started to cry. Carlos kissed me. I looked at him, confused.

"I
just realized how much I miss you." He said. I looked into
his beautiful brown eyes. They had little flecks of yellow in them,
making them look really cool. He kissed me again. Then I looked
at the door. Greg walked in. I saw him and started to cry again.

"Can
we leave. Greg's here." We got up and started to leave. Carlos
had his arm around my waist. Greg looked a him with such hate. I
kissed Carlos, just to piss Greg off. It worked.

"Oh
how quickly you get over a guy." Greg said. I felt the knives
stab me again. It was his turn now.

"Why
don't you learn to shut the fudge up? Is my happiness too much for
an a** like you?" He just started at me, apparently unable
to think of anything to say. Me and Carlos walked to the tour bus.

"What's
with he bus?" Carlos asked.

"I'm
on tour with Dream Street."

"Why
are you on tour with them?"

"Don't
you watch TV? Haven't you seen the commercial for Sugar and Spice?"

"Yea."

"I'm
the blond girl with the braids."

"You
are?"

"Mmhum."

"Oh,
whoa. Was that Greg dude in Sugar and Spice too?"

"No,
he's in Dream Street." We walked onto the bus.

"Ave,
unless I'm very much mistaken, I believe he broke up with you and
you're going out with Greg now." Diva said.

"Greg
can go fudge himself."

"Whoa,
what happened?" Matt asked.
I threw the news paper at them. "Chris, Jesse, and Justin can
explain it."

"Um…we
can't explain Carlos." Justin said.

"Fine,
I'll explain that part. I'm with Carlos now." We walked away.

"Poor,
confused child." Matt said, shaking his head slowly.

"Matt,"
Diva said, "I believe the poor, confused child is your friend
Greg.
