In the winter I sail out of a slip instead of a mooring. I prefer sailing from a mooring because I am intimidated by engines. They never seem to work when you need them. But no one offers launch service around here in the winter. So a slip it is. Bellow are some minor modification to the out board, drop boards, to keep the noise down.

I serviced my seacock this season. As you can see from the stain, she was leaking a little bit. I considered replacing the whole thing. Instead I took the unit apart and smoothed out the valve with lapping compound. Then I liberally greased the unit. I used the Seacock maintenance kit from Spartan.  So far she is nice and dry.
