| A being of light and shadow, some scrupulous barreling of nightshades and terror; here I even a stalking host of mortal blooming, a garden traveling over worlds, or a congregation of telepaths in immortal matrimony, were I the tumult of human error, personified, indignant, ever laughing of nervousness, or a deity, or even the shadow or reflection of his avatar, I could not be fulfilled, for it is my nature as I am to live in frustrations, perturbations, fallings, failings, and sometimes art (so far, from the truth). poetry ii. main |
