Nathan L. Coppedge was born on Oct. 23rd, 1982 in Yale New Haven Hospital, to Faith Larkin and Michael J. Coppedge, who met at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia...
At the age of three, he asked his mother for a machine gun.
At around nine, he arrived at a concept for a "popcorn gun" which did not really work.
He lived a very isolated existence during middle and high school at Betsy Ross Arts Magnet and Wilbur Cross, during which time he read Tom Clancy novels and then dubbed himself a poet.
A reporter interviewing students wrote an article in which she described him as "anachronistic", including photographs of Nathan's drawings of ninja weapons and a quote by Mrs. Roosevelt that he had written in calligraphy: "the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams".
Nathan attended Bard College briefly, but experienced an episode at the beginning of the second semester in which he hallucinated a square sun, a bicyclist, and a transparent creature that slithered on the ground.
More recently he has been medicated and has attempted to distance himself from any diagnosis. After spending some time developing artwork, even exhibiting in several locations around New Haven, he began to seek a skilled labor job in nurse assisting.
While he underwent a breezy training at the Red Cross and took some classes in web design, he has developed his previously dormant interest in invention, through numerous concepts the most radical of which are his Perpetual Motion Machine designs.
Nathan aspires to lead a long healthy life in which his artwork gets printed on money.
