You are led to a spare drawing room full of books and tidbits not to be described. After a time you are admitted to the dining hall, where you observe all manner of acrobat, juggler, and feats of strength and guile. There is an entire table seated to capacity with musicians, while those of a less certain except nobler nature sit above them on a dais accepting platters of marvelously masked tainted meats. These wear ecstatic expressions that clench their faces, giving emphasis to the bones and leaving them with a tired and gaudy eloquence befitting the dead. In their midst is a gray-bearded figure in white robes topped with a slender crown of shining gold. He beckons, guards move to assure that his wish is fulfilled. Your case, if it is material, will be heard.
