Important information for authors of Drying Technology - An International Journal
Authors who wish to submit papers or have submitted papers for possible publication in Drying Technology should note that they must demonstrate full familiarity with work already published in earlier volumes of the journal. Relevant papers must be cited completely and compared in the text where pertinent. References to IDS conference proceedings is also important but the journal reference is preferred (since the journal is archived) when the paper is published in the journal following the conferences.

Lack of such citations will be considered a serious deficiency leading to rejection of the paper. Referees are also made aware of this requirement. As the premier international journal in drying and in view of the critical mass of work already published in it, it is highly unlikely that authors will not find appropriate references to cite where relevant. Also, by the same token, peripheral references are strongly discouraged and will be removed upon revision.

Please note that over 90 percent of papers accepted undergo minor to very major revision prior to publication. Authors should adhere strictly to instructions provided in each journal issue. They should send hard copies to the Editor or Associate Editors designated for specific geographic areas as noted on this website.

Please also complete the author's checklist and enclose it with your manuscript. This will help speeding up the reviewing process.

Thank you!
