No, Islam was founded by God, when He created the world and sent Adam and Eva here. Always the same message (there is only one God, no son, no helper and this world an exam that we see the results in hereafter) has been sent and sent via many human messengers. Human has changed the message God sent another messenger to teach the original message. When they change the message (such as He is one God but three part or He has son etc.) God Appointed Muhammad to teach the original message. In Quran God says this is the last time He sent message after this time God will protect message untill the Dooms day. Actually 1427 years past after Muhmmad, but there is not any change in Quran since that time.
(Jesus is one of our prophet but he never said I am son of God or all the sins would be forgiven when he died. So Jesus did not found the Christianity and Mosab did not found Judaism either but the message was changed after each of them and turn into seperate religions that were formed by mixture of God's message and human interventions.)
