(This is Stepfanie Kramer's departure episode. Although it has been rumored that she left due to the "bad blood" between her and Fred Dryer, the truth lies in her other passion, singing. Stepfanie left to record her first album which didn't hit the market until 1999. Stepfanie and Fred keep in contact and are planning on filming a reunion movie, tentatively titled "HUNTER in China" later this year!)
McCall: Hi. How long have you been standing there?
Hunter: Not very long.
M: I just needed to be alone. Have some time to think about some things.
H: I went by the hotel, talking to Alex. Ya see last night I went over there, kind of shot my mouth off. I was a little out of line so I went back and told him so. He loves you very much. Do you love him?
M:Yeah. I never thought that I could feel this way again after Steven died. But I do!
(Hunter smiles)
H:What are ya gonna do about it?
M: I wanna be with him. It means going off to London. He's been offered a great job there and of course I checked into it for myself. There's an organization there that deals with kids, so I can still be of service. That's important to me. That's part of what this job has been here for me. I mean, this job...I wouldn't trade the memories for anything. *Getting choked up* They're all right here. (pointing to heart) It's just saying good-bye is really hard!
H: Look it. We're too good of friends to say good-bye. What we've had is almost like a marriage so saying good-bye is not like a divorce. It's just that -uh-it makes me feel good to know you've found someone you want to share your life with. You should feel good.
M: I'm gonna miss you!...We've had some times huh?
H: Oh yes!
H&M Laugh.
M: I guess if I need to find you I know where I can look.
H: Yep right over there (points to desk) Extension 315. Look, go to Alex. Go to London. Buy a big nice house with lots of closet space. (plays with her collar) You're gonna need it!
(They laugh.)
H: Go ahead. Go on.
(She starts to walk out and then turns. They embrace. She walks out to the elevator. The elevator opens, she looks back again. Fade to black with Hunter standing in the doorway.)
