Poor Rich Girl

Kings and queens
With castles so grand
With great diamond rings
On smooth, silky hands
Peasants and beggars
With riches so few
Work long and sweat hard
To pay off their dues
And as the princes
Does slumber in sorrow
I weep for the child
Resenting tomorrow
And as she dreams
In the land of the rich
I bid her a prayer of good morrow
She sleeps alone
In land of the more
I weep for her
From land of the poor
