Homeless

Don’t you see me standing here?
Spare some change for food?
Why don’t I ever see your eyes?
Yet you stare as if I’m nude
I’m so cold and have no coat
And my daughter, she needs shoes
Heaven stole my wife and son
We’ve nothing left to lose
Wan you hear my cries for help?
Or feel my hopeless pain?
Are you blind?
Or do you see?
You have no dog and cane.
Just this once,
Please help us out
We’ll share a meal today
The more we stand out in the street
The less she gets to play
I’ve fallen far as I can go
But I still hear her pray
