James Copeland as Mr Ravensworth / The Entity

I would do another one, but if we did another film we would spend more time preparing it so we wouldn't have the surprises we had with this one. Perhaps also more time rehearsing and filming, to make sure we have all the shots we want and to make sure that those shots were of a standard that we thought was good.

The console didn't take long to do, because we first used it for the wreck version in episode 3 and then left it until episode 1 which were actually filmed in the same place as Craig's scenes with the console although they were obviously supposed to be set in different locations.

Being a Cyberman truly did suck. You're in a boiler suit which is mostly covered in bits of glue and string and is also mostly sealed up. You're wearing boots, which make it difficult to move around. You're wearing a chest unit, which restricts your shoulder movement, but also your breathing and you leaning forward. Then, of course, the head, which gives you tunnel vision. You heat up very quickly. You're in their for five minutes and you're sweating buckets. They look pretty good, if a little dull. Its an easy acting role, you just let the suit do the acting for you.

The idea to do a multiple Doctor story was Johns, and was Chris's idea that they shouldn't meet. They already had this script with the 7th Doctor so me and John started kicking round some ideas because we wanted to do another script after 'Timelines', which was the over-ambitious scripts that never got off the ground so we used their original script to construct the first version of TRIDENT.

I didn't know what to expect when writing a film. I tried to visualize it when writing the script, but when you're filming its different.

When it started, it was going to be filmed in episode order in the summer. But due to education purposes Craig and Alicia couldn't do that, so we started filming their stuff for episodes 3 and 4 and it only took a week, which was great in a way, but caused a major panic because no-one was prepared, but we did it.

In London, the pre-title sequence for episode 1 was good, except for the people going past on pleasure boats with pop-music going on. Again, we had the same problem with the TARDIS scenes for episode 1 too. There was a party going on somewhere, so the original soundtrack had Steps or something on it!
