I have been back to cardiac ward for nearly 2 weeks, life here is of course more busy then ICU, however, no need to shift is better for me as i can have more activities like baseball practices and cell gathering etc.
I am still not quite know how to perform echocardiogram which is the duty of a cardiac ward MO...I hope I can master the skill later.
I joined a training course for women's baseball? That's a tough course lasted 30 sessions over 6 months.

A 49-yr-old man with history of scilicosis and bilateral pneumothoraces surgical pleurodesis done admitted for chest pain clinical diagosis was acute myocarditis died within 48 hours of admission. No definite cause for his multi-organ failure. Her wife asked for weaving the autopsy. However, the coroner rejected her request. She came to the ward today and yelled and said,"doctors killed my husband…"
What they want is an intact body which they believe was so important for a dead person. And that they presumed the death was related to scilicosis. They believe that doctors had the power to over-ride coroner's decision. Despite I repeatedly explain that it's out of my scope of authority, they simply would not hear. It came to the part that they argue if I did not know the cause of his husbands illness, why admited him and treated him? It's ridiculus! If all doctors only treat those with a diagnosis, for those patienta with illness but no diagnosis where should they go??
And she became more hostile to say that I just looked like a 3-yr-old child, who am I to treat her husband. I replied right away that her attitude has problem, she then said," imagine your whole family died…" see how could apatient's relatives direct their anger towards someone not responsible for making the patient ill? The illness is from the patient's within…I really wanna scold her but then I was stopped by the nurses.
How irrational a person can be if one lost a close relative.

Today I went hiking with Wendy/Janet/Sandy with the "Jacob online hiking group". We had cooking near the Lotus stream . The water was very clear, I really wanna jump into the water and swim. I caught 3 or 4 shrimps with bare hands and it was really funny.
In the evening, Sandy and I went to Causewaybay to join YellowB and Christy for Thai food. They brought me a gorgeous dry-fit jacket as B-day present. To my surprise, they prepared a birthday cake for me and it's been sometime since last time I have such kind of celebration. Thanks my friends!

I went to Double Deer stream with Sandy, Ting, Saihung, Sandy's 2 other sec sch-mates. The weather was good and we enjoyed the hiking. I and Saihung did swim despite it's a bit cool. The sunset view was gorgeous!
The bad news came when I get on the minibus to saikung after we finished hiking – my elder sister was knocked down by a motorcycle in Shanghai. She got numbness and bruises over arm and some dizziness.. The crowd did not help her, after she called the collegues then they came and helped her to call the ambulance. You see Shanghai is still notyet cilivlized in many ways, this is the bad point in living in mainland…
I am a bit upset cuz I could not respond to my sister's call for help immediately but delayed almost an hour since my cell phone received no signal in the hill. But I was relieved when her injury seemed not so serious. What I was pissed off was she still needed to go back to office to work until 11pm! How cruel the boss and the company is!

At night I went to TST to have dinner with SPS sch-mates – Janet, Emily, Cecilia, Wendy, Carrie. We have a good time, still laughing at the cookery lessons funny moments…What really surprised me is that Carrie asked her bf Nam to make a B day cake for me and ceci!! That's so warm and nice. A real cake with friendship filling in it.

Can't imagine that we finally could find a coach for the baseball team. Today was the first lesson by Leung wa- hang, the HK women's baseball team assistant coach... the atmosphere of the team is very good and seemed we practiced quite a lot basics throughout the 3 hours. I forsee Fortissimo will enter into a new era!
