| Being a Great Mouse Detective and a The Lion King fanatic, I decided one day to put the two together in a fanfic that would generally rock the fanfic world. (Slightly.) Here's the basic plot: This takes place in London, the home of the cast of GMD. One day, without any general explanation, the world's population is turned into African Animal versions of themselves. Freaky, no? Well, anyway, the TLK cast teams up with the GMD cast to solve this mystery, and in the process, a new romance is formed between two outcasts . . . |

| This is Ratigan after he's been transformed into a lion. He sort of looks like Kovu except for the mane and the eyes. Ratigan is generally the hero of this fic (which is a diffence from most fics where he's the villain), who eventually falls in love with ******. I can't tell more of the plot, because it might ruin the story. Anyway, of all the characters, Ratigan is one of them that gets the most into being a lion. Although he is mistrustful of Basil (they are enemies, after all), he is willing to work with him to figure out what happened and get everyone back to normal. |

| This is what Basil's going to look like in the fic. Now I know you all were expecting him to be a lion, but you can't have everything in life, and I can't make them all lions; It would just be too complicated. Anyway, Basil is turned into a meerkat, but he still has dark brown fur and hair like he did as a mouse. However, his paws are black and white like his shoes were. Plus, the fact that Basil gets turned into a meerkat plays off the fact that Dawson gets turned into a warthog, which makes them sort of like Timon and Pumbaa. Ironic, no? |

| This is Dawson after his transformation into a warthog. Don't worry, he doesn't have gas problems. The actual head and body are a tannish-brown to match his fur, and his hair is white since he's older than Pumbaa. However, he's still loyal to Basil, and sometimes protection. In this case, Basil truly is "the brains of this outfit", and Dawson is the brawn. Don't worry, it'll get less hard to explain as I move along. |
