Don't drink and drive.
BaMDiP Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Pretty self-explanatory, but if you'd like to ask something else, feel free to drop us a line.

Q: What is BaMDiP?
A: Short for Brian and Matt's Drunk in Public.
Q: What is with the color coded words?
A: To emphasize when Brian or Matt is speaking independently of each other, we have used color coding.  Brian is denoted by text in GREEN , Matt by BLUE, and staff comments in PURPLE.
Q: Why is Brian's name first?
A: Someone had to be first and alternating is silly. Brian conceded some other design points in exchange for that honor. Or maybe it is just alphabetical.
Q: Are your names really Brian and Matt?
A: Yes they are. Unlike our pictures, we will not post the last names of ourselves, our staff, or any guest reviewers / people we meet with one exception - can you find it?
Q: With all your secrecy, how will I recognize you in a bar?
A: Write here ahead of time to coordinate with us. We try to keep a schedule of big trips and crawls here, so it shouldn't be too hard to find us - look for two guys with notepads.
Q: You gave my favorite place a bad review! Why do you suck?
A: We, in fact, do not suck. You (sir or madam) suck - readily and verily.
Q: When will you review my favorite place?
A: Write us here and ask us to. We always have some places we want to go in mind, but are open to suggestions.
Q: Why don't you review more places in DC, or any in Maryland?
A: Uh, it is against our mission statement. We are trying to prove there is stuff in the Virginia 'burbs here - so going into DC too often would be counterproductive. On the other hand, there are no good places in Maryland. Marylanders, send your flames here.
Q: Your pictures suck! Why is that?
A: There are many answers to that. First off, neither of us has had photography training. Secondly, we do not like to attract attention to ourselves when reviewing - so no flash. This means we need to use a long exposure in the camera. This, in turn, requires a steady hand. Now, remember that we have been drinking. This all adds up to what we like to call "drunk cam" and produces the fuzzy pictures you see.
Q: Is Brian really a drunk and Matt an insomniac?
A: As far as you know, yes. Our BaMDiP personalities are caricatures of our real selves - there is some basis in reality, but you'd have to meet us to be sure of the truth. (jesus, a simple "yes" would have sufficed)
Q: Why are you doing this? Do you get paid?
A: Would you pay us to do this? If so, write us here. No, we needed a focus to motivate us to go out - otherwise we would just drink at home and get gross and moldy. As it turns out, it was a pretty good way to get our other friends out of the house and as a conversation piece in general. So, we do it for kicks.
