Recently on the WinMX file sharing tool, I ran across someone downloading Insane Clown Posse remixes. Since I share every mp3 file on my computer, he had a double digit que. When people have rare and unheard of remixes that nobody else has, people engage in a trade, especially if the two people remixed the two rare tracks themselves. I forgot what I files i exchanged to him, but I know what I got in return. Royksopp Verses Insane Clown Posse - Mr Happy, Its so easy.
At first I thought the Royksopp was an average electronica band located in England and I thought nothing of them. Until someone downloaded the remix off of me for the sake of them being a diehard Royksopp fan. I asked him what Royksopp tracks he can recommend. In return he told me that Royksopp only made one album and there are usually two copies of it on WinMX, and he recommends Eple and So Easy. Funny how I had a short discography along with the recommendations. That day, I downloaded those two songs, the Remind Me music video, and checked their official website. Obviously I have found a new favorite band that can count on me to buy most of the albums. This is just more proof on how bootlegs and file-sharing betters the music industry. Royksopp is my type of music on a rainy day. Its soft, its smooth, its wonderful like butter. I encourage everyone to download more of the unknown, share more with strangers, and enjoy freedom; The same way I do, and the same way record labels should. |
