| This is from an email I got from a friend: What is full life? Is it full of good things? Many people think so. In fact some ask if Jesus wants me to have a full life, why is my life full of bad things. They see only the bad. That's why it's important to understand what Jesus meant by a full life. In John 10, it leads us to ask, "What is full life for a sheep?" It was following the shepherd. There were steep climbs, hot days, and enemies all around. But the shepherd knew where the green pastures and still waters were. He would feed, lead, protect, and comfort his sheep. The full life for God's people is not a life full of "good things". It is following the Good Shepherd. And following isn't always easy, but the Shepherd knows the way. He will restore our weary souls through His word of forgiveness. He strengthens our faith and promises comfort during dark times. "Do not be afraid. I bring you news of great joy that will be for all people." Luke 2:10 |
