Stale Bread Pudding

Soak scrapes of stale bread in milk, till soft, then squeeze as dry as
possible.
Take 2 cups soaked bread, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup mixed fruit, 1 tsp. Nutmeg, 1
tsp. Cinnamon, 1 tsp. Mixed spice, 2 Tablespoons melted butter, 1 tsp.
Baking powder.

Mix well together & steam for 3 hours.
Very nice served with whipped cream or custard.
You could add some Brandy, or sweet sherry, if you wish.
