Icebox Apple Pie

4  1/2 cups sliced and peeled apples
1  1/2 cups water
1 Tbls butter or marg.
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 (3 oz) pkg peach flavored Jello
1 (3oz) pkg cook-and-serve vanilla pudding
1 9-inch baked pie shell

In large saucepan, combine apples, water, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 5 minutes or until the apples are tender. Gradually stir in Jello and pudding; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle topping over pie and chill 3 to 4 hours.
Topping:
1/4 cup or more graham cracker crumbs
1 Tbls butter or margarine, melted
1  1/2 tsp sugar
