Applesauce Bread Pudding 1 loaf french bread 25 oz jar chunky applesauce 1/8 tsp nutmeg 2 eggs 2 cups milk 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/8 tsp cinnamon whipped topping optional Place 1/2 loaf cubed bread in a well-greased 11x7x7 baking dish. Spoon applesauce over bread. Sprinkle nutmeg over applesauce. Top with remaining bread. Whisk together eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla. Pour over bread and then sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. |
