Ginger Cookies 3/4 cup shortening 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup molasses 1 egg 2 1/4 cup flour 2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 heaping tsp ground ginger 1 heaping tsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground cloves Cream together until fluffy the shortening, sugar, molasses and egg. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Form into balls (about 1 1/2 to 2 Tbls) Roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for about 12 minutes. |
