Hey psychos & freex!
My name is Tami Lyn Heathcock & I come from a world known as EMANON.
Originally I grew up in South Cali & in Seattle, WA.
(Where I believe my love for diverse music comes from).
I am an original writer & composer & I don't anticipate playing covers as my career goal.
Kurt and I together are as timeless as we are fresh.
We have put our previous experience & our professional knowledge into the creation of EMANON.
The music is what it's all about & the spirit within it is why it remains to exist.
If you're drawn toward music as a player, then don't let anything stop you.
If you find that you're gifted as well as motivated, work hard for it & don't ever let go.
To many would-be musicians are discouraged by the negative things in life that oppose the arts, don't give in to the fears of a clueless world.
KEEP THE FAITH!
When I was around the age of 13, I discovered my love for the guitar.
Since then, I seem to redefine my love for music every time I strap one on.
During the period of my teen years I was quite the rebel.
My music of choice was from the metal-punk scene as well as progressive.
To this day I still love the hard stuff, as well as the greater classics.
Around age 17 I would sit in on gigs once & awhile with my friends in DAYSLEEPER.
They were a cover band that played all over L.A. & Orange Counties (Cali).
At the age of 19 I was part of D.N.A. (DAMN NOISY AMERICANS)
Mainly we played covers with a few originals.
We never really worked at getting bookings much, but we sure had alot of fun.
When I turned 20 I had Joey, my son.
With my new responsibility came a hard decision, & I put my guitar down.
About 3 to 4 years later I went from Cali to WA.
My best friend, HEIDI, had bought herself a bass for my 25th birthday & asked me to teach her to play.
From that moment I not only went back to my guitar, I started FOREST GREEN, an all girl band.
We played many gigs all with the songs I had started writing when I picked my guitar up again.
This was also my first encounter as the lead guitarist & lead singer of a band.
We went through a few other guitarists before we settled with STAN, the only guy in the band.
He wouldn't go away so we just went with it.
We did however, record a studio demo & played the WA State Fair every year.
From there I went back to Cali to record a personal demo & when I got back to WA, Kurt & I hooked up with HEIDI on bass & began to create EMANON.
Since then we have learned what we are all about.
We have faced many obstacles that have tried to put an end to what we create & love.
We have stood tall the whole time.
THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!
