Thanks for responding to my ad. I play drums for my church's contemporary worship service. It is a worship service with a praise band that plays contemporary Christian music. The music that we play in our worship service is kind of like a slow rock or pop style. That's fine for some people. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy playing with the music team. But, my goal for this band is to pick up the pace a little and get in to some more of the aggressive/alternative music styles. 'System Of A Down', 'KoRn', and 'Travial' and 'Evanecence' are some of the music styles that I am shooting for. I would be willing to talk about other styles of music too. I am looking to step out and bring a band together with common musical interests, as well as Christian beliefs that will reach the younger generation. I feel we should reach one common musical style and proceed from there. With prayer and God's help, we should be able to bring a band together to help serve and glorify the Lord, if that is His desire. We must put God first, then the band will come second. We will pray before each practice and or show. We will let God lead us. Our lyric content will revolve around Christianity first, then other important matters in our lives or the world. We will also try to be good Christian examples for others to follow.
