| The picture to the left is of Benjamin Brady and his new wife, Brenda. Benny has been my hockey coach for two years, before that I always looked up to him for support, he was almost like my second father. The picture was taken at their wedding in October of 2002. On the 24th of December, 2003, Brenda told my mom that she was expecting a baby! She told Benny later that night, my mom just happened to be next to her talking about watching me grow up or some crap like that. Friday, the 26th of December 2003, Benny and Brenda were invited to some kind of post Christmas work party. Brenda went home early, around 11 PM, Benny said he would follow later. He never made it home though, on his way home he went through a yellow light, the guy coming toward him went through the red light, Benny didn't have his seatbelt on and died on impact. The assistant coach has since taken over, but hockey will never be the same without Benny. I know he looked down at us play this past weekend, yelling at me for tripping that dumbass on the other team. I love ya Benny! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
