Reliability of electricity in northwest Iraq will improve dramatically, thanks to the efforts of the Army Corps of Engineers and Iraqi workers. The new Northwest Regional Control Center will be the first system to tie together all the elements and control functions of the National Electrical Network. Until now, no functioning system automatically monitored and controlled the reliability of electricity in Iraq.
